Hey guys and girls

I’m hoping someone can clarify something for me...
If I post one of my demo mixes up on YouTube, a mix containing tracks that I have NOT produced, is this in any way an infringement on copyright, or any other law protecting the producers of the tracks in my demo mix??

Obviously I am not claiming these tracks as my own, it’s just my mix!!

Such is the way of the DJ world.

I think someone checks as you upload. I had about fifty remix video edits I'd done and maybe 20 got rejected for copyright infringement - maybe another 15 had a message saying it contained copyright content but the owners had authorised use on utube.

I decided to take them all down in the end just in case.

Still got a couple of mixes on there which is basically all copyrighted content but because I have views of the decks included, and its essentially a demo of dj skills (or lack of) and showing how the gear works, so no one has complained, ...yet!
