Your Travel Money

How do you guys travel with your money....

Do you use cash, travellers cheques, credit cards or other?

Just interested to know some of the best options.

Cash and Credit Cards. Also keep your wallet in your front pocket, and dont lump all your money in one place.

If your that worried

I always use a combination of all 3: Cash, Travellers Cheqes and Cards. Thats what Lonely Planet advises, and I've found it pretty workable. Travellers cheques are more secure than cash cos you can get it replaced almost straight away, whereas if your cash goes missing you have to deal with your travel insurance and that could take weeks to resolve... but in some smaller towns when travelling they only change case - not TC's so you need to have some of that too. And cards are helpful also because it means you don't have all your pingers on you at one time.

I dunno where you're going, but if you're travelling around for a long time, the kind of money belt that goes underneath your trousers can be a good idea.

im a cash only kinda guy, but yeahmake sure you spread it around ,and get a decoy wallet, fill it up with worthless notes (ie iraqi dinars and cambodian kip) and old buisnes cards, so if anybody bails you up and demands some goodies just flick em the decoy and your sweet..!!

either that or a handfull of change in the eyes will do the job..



just make sure you can run pretty quick for the last one though...
