I had a big serving of NZ green the other night and laxed out to some lovely trance (and memories of all the dance parties came back to me) and thought to myself that you dont really know what trance really is until youve had ya first E. Anyone agree?!?

I find there is a lot more going on in Trance music. Different little bits and pieces that you pick out each time you listen to a track.

i'd probably agree you don't know what trance can do to you until you listen to it on a pill, but i still don't need pills to dance to it

i agree with that, i only began to appreciate trance after my first pill, and now i find it much easier to dance to straight. In saying that im am right at this moment going hard core in front of my computer like a moron listening to to sum wikked tunes, and im straight.

i find trance is actually alot easier to dance to when than hardhouse or atleast it's not really as uptempo as HH and u can go for hours mixing up your routine etc hehe
it's more a spiritual at harmoney etc type of music!

Ummm not 2 sure about that one, i must say tho that when your on E trance seems to just flow through u and it sometimes sounds heaps better.

But i have been listening to trance for ages before i took E.

i've been into one form of music or other for ages and ages. after pilling for the first time it lit up the path to really understanding and appreciating what dance music had to offer. i then decided that drugs and music would be with me indefinitely. i listened to everything that came my way, it took me bloody yonks to figure out what and how i liked my drug & music combination.

I dont think this is true. Maybe you can appreciate it more after taking e, but I loved trance well before I dropped.

I loved trance before I listened to it on e. I just think I appreciate it even more now.

I reckon there`s more journey to trance,as with it being uplifting as well but when ya want it coming on in all four than hey,house is bangin` ya doors down ain`t it,either E`s or Trips bring ya into the music fa sure but if ya there ta love it than it doesn`t really matter,both I reckon are definitely atmospheric,come on good,go off good,come home still good.......come down tomorrow

To be honest i wasnt realy into any dance music at all until i took a pill at the BDO..but what it did was open my eyes as to how fuckn awsome it is!! even though I can totally go to a big even and not take a pill , i'd much rather have one!
For example i have been hearing alot of songs that were played at DHnF in the past few days and i CANNOT EXPLAIN the feeling i get when i hear them ... Oh this is not coming out the way im saying it in my head .... But i LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redbeast, this thread isn't about whether or not u can enjoy trance on E, its about not appreciating trance until you have had your first E.

If u read carefully a lot of the posters have the opinion, that they loved trance before they tried E and now they have a better understanding of it.

And some have the opinion that they still enjoy it even without drugs. Perhaps the topic was misunderstood!

i remember the first gig i went on e. didn't know hard house from trance or what ever. i'm a fan of various types of dance music now, even when not on drugs. still, you gotta love that e feeling!

I love trance, good trance, and listen to it all the time. And I have to agree, once you’ve listened to trance on E it kind of opens your mind to listen to it a certain way and from then on you can fully appreciate it even when you’re not on anything. That’s what it did to me.

The other great thing I’ve come to fully appreciate since I started taking e is having a ‘quiet night in’ so to speak. A night at home with a couple of friends, a bag of weed, and cranking the stereo out is just fucken wicked! After a bit of a smoke the music can lift me to the point were it almost feels like I on an e again. Anyone else find that?

i best enjoy trance wen im completely straight and driving in my car, or just sitting down and relaxing.

i found wen im pilling and listening to trance im too busy hugging the person next to me to actually listen to the music.

only once have i been able to actually listen to the music while pilling, (it was acrap pill), but from what i heard i loved it. it felt great. however i believe straight is the better way

i've always been a music lover, but not much of a dancer....having taken E while out listening to trance I now dance/tap/jiggle all the time i'm straight....however there's nothing like the "uplift" when pilling to trance - FEEL THE POWER :o)

Ok I dont need to explain love but since you asked I will. Too many years have been wasted doing the same thing, thursday, friday, saturday nights with the same drop kick people who are not real.

I want more from my life than just endless parties that when you break it down are exactly the same as each other. Its all good that you are all having fun at your events, but its not for me anymore. Sure the occasional House gig will be attended to but I now prefer to hang out with real people who do have half a brain. And no before all the rocking chair comments start, Im not a nana. I can party like its 1999 but Im saving it for the good stuff and not randomly going out every night for the sake of it to be seen in all the right places.

Simple dave that was in responce to people who on one thread complained about being ripped off and on another were amping themselves up for the next OGa event.
The dj's at these events very rarely play a live set and instead do a standard Dj set palying the same tracks locals have access to. Branding being the difference.

Trance has more feel and emotion involoved in it, witch makes me overwellmed with happyness. Altho house is good music and all tht, it lacks the ability to touch those feelings and stir those emotions tht make you wana laugh, cry or even die.
