Okay, fair enough that you can instantly rule out a few that will already be booked, but apart from that I could suggest FU as being the closest AK venue to Studio9 in Welly, but I suppose if you take into account the hard trance description above, then that kind indicates K-Road, so what about Bed or the Staircase? What about Galatos even? Any keen Ak promoters/venues wanna take up the challenge?

OB1 has championed Yoji's cause for years now, and despite significant effort and lobbying there just wasn't an opening for this to happen. Christchurch and Wellington audiences and promotors are more accepting of artists that step outside of the
square. Auckland is a very mainstream dominated scene.Yoji prefers big parties, and his fee reflects that. He's already doing Thursday and Friday gigs and The economics just don't stack

Just bought my ticket 20 minutes ago. The flyer says 11 - 2am Andy B (oh yes!), 2am - 5am Yoji (fuckin A, long set!), 5am - 6am Pooley.

It says the lounge bar is open at 10pm with Ryan though...

On another note, have you guys noticed the atrocious spelling of Yoji's 'last name'/stage last name? Fucking hell, no wonder I was so confused!

Yeah, Yoji was great, although I was left feeling ... hmm, like there was something missing. Maybe my night just didn't have that something extra to get me going. Maybe it was just that I'd spent five hours digging trenches and moving dirt manually at my mates place beforehand.

i've had a primo weekend! i got a free ticket to Robbie Williams 2hrs b4 the concert (hehe) i went 4 the atmosphere, dnt really like his music, i was amazed at how many guys were there too (& singin the words!) next up was phoenix, paid $25 on the door to warm up in the firm room to ollyb and sweet (sorry yoji) then headed 4 studio9/sub9 my fav place in twn, paid $20 to unicef on the door and it was goin off all nite!!!!! i think i saw a dude with a camel back @phoenix with white billabong singlet... also i really agree with colgate i fuckin love house too

Walked out of Westpac trust Stadium feeling pretty good after being amongst many of Wellingtons finest female talent.....however apart from the electric atmosphere at the stadium, I felt like I had been at a carols by candlelight & suddenly the erge to get to see Yoji lifted that much more.

I walked upto someone with a camelpack asking if he was from the biggie site and he babbled some shit to me.... - couldn't really understand him... so I kinda left it at that...
