Xnet speeds

Anyone else experiencing really awful speeds on xnet, but only when downloading from Transmission or similar?

Even if i limit Transmission download bandwidth to 50kb/s, regular web browsing still times out. Web browsing is fast if i'm not downlading torrents and even if i'm downloading from rapidshare etc.

If i'm not browsing at the same time the torrent can get up to 200kb/s no worries. Very tempted to see if Orcon are any better.

Also Network fx are in my neighbourhood at the moment laying fibre optic. I'm guessing from what i read on their website they're more catered to commercial WAN providing rather than providing any residential internet?

Yup, you wont get residential service from FX. Well, technically you *could* buy service from them, but what they will charge you for install and monthly will make you shit bricks.

Edit: To clarify, FX is like a lines company in the power industry. You'd actually buy access to their network via another party like CityLink.
