XBOX VS PS2

Well Xbox has just dropped its price by $70 and PS2 has said that they will not be following as they already have market share (Sounds a bit cocky imo)

XBOX VS PS2 though, my choice would definately be with the XBOX, broadband, easy harddrive upgrade and generally better game play.

Ur thoughts?

Get them both, Get an gamecube as well. Heaps of nice games on all systems just depends on what you are into.

I've stopped playing my XBox now. Still have a couple of games I haven't played yet eiether. I guess I have never really been into console gaming. There are very few good games out there these days.

I work at a video ezy on the weekends to always have access to a alot of games.

Anyone modded their xbox here? did u get the chips that are able to be turned off when u want to play on xbox live?

Get an XBox, chip it, play DivX's and PS2 games. Sorted.

PS2 for me (coz I have one already and dont want 2 consoles)

i have a ps2 soley for car games. i can play gt1, gt2, gt3 and gt when it comes out on my ps2. also have the wrc 2 game. mrs has the stitch operation 626 game..... can also play dvd's

Emulators exist.......I would definitely want to see a review of how well they play though, as PS1 emulators on a PC used to be awful, even on a very powerful PC......

A MAME type emulator build for the XBox would be wicked. Would probably be possible to create a disc with shitloads of all the old games and a menuing system for them.

Can u chip an xbox to play games decently from a ps2??

I was set on an xbox. till I read about GT4. Now I'm very confuzzled.

I'd never buy an Xbox simply because its Microsoft, and Microsoft can fuck off back to the market it strangles now. However I'm not mad on games anyway.

I dont own either, but if I was to buy a console it would be the Xbox purely as if modded correctly they can make a solid and inexpensive media centre in addition to letting you play games.
