Do you specifically need an Apple one? Wouldn't any cheap computer mic (or any mic) do the job?

Weird. Do Macs have some sort of bizzare mic plug? Cos I have been able to stick any old Mic into all my PCs for years. Doesn't have to be a Mic made specifically for a PC either ...they are just all standard.

Your "any old mic" could have been a P.C mic everytime.
The aPPLE MICS ARE CLEARLY marked with an apple logo & in my experience will not work on P.C.Although that is not to say a P.C mic wouldn't work in an apple, most prob would.I was just trying to source one for the gezzer cos he's prob having that prob.
