Some of the initial reporting of his gold was quite misleading as well, headlines and snippets referred to a track gold medal so when I found it it was triathlon and not a track event at all I was a bit disappointed. Mainly because we already have tonnes of really good triathon talent and only two elite athletes in track and field so the prospect of a youngster coming through who could beat the world's best at a youth level was exciting. Stupid press, if it doesn't finish on the track in the main stadium and involved bikes and swimming then it's not a track event!
Well doen to the kid though don't want to belittle his achievement as my beef is with the press misreporting it.
