who here hates winz they have yet to pay my course related costs through when they have have come thru 2 days ago argh i got deals resting on that money I HATE WINZ!!!!! they are all so stupid and u have to provide info twice and they loose information about u and can never get it righht not to mention the major form filling out u have to do, theres one of this one for that another one for that if something is different why cant they make everything nice and easy and quick

i mean to add to it check this out for stupid, i have a twin sister natalie both of us are at uni, i'm second year she is first year, both of us get student allowances, i applied for mine first
i get 96 bucks in the hand each week, she gets 60 bucks in the hand each week
now that to me sucks we both have the same parent who earns the same amount of money so why is it different they are friggin screw balls at winz
also look at all those rich kids whos mummy and daddy put there incomes through family trusts so effectively they ahve no income yet are earning 100000's of dollars per year, they get full student allowances worth 100 bucks per week when some poor little student cause his parents earn just a little to much but not enough to support them gets zip nothing null THAT IS FUCKED TO ME

Yep, I had that same gripe 2 years ago, WINZ SUCK ARSE....nufin can be done about it though.......except maybe bombing their mainframe.....MUHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

They paid all my stuff promptly and on time... I have been bloody happy woith Winz this year

Genetic: I dunno how you think family trusts work, but, I can assure you that there is no easy way around the parental income threshold.

The best way is to qualify under the "living away from home supporting yoursel;f for 96 weeks" clause... I did this but by the end of my 96 weeks was earning so much that it was my income that they started measuring

for the family trust to work they have there own business and any profits that the business make are transferred into the family trust account where they use the money to buy assests or work out a way to withdraw this money, on paper they have no incomea nd qualify for the full amount

Nah there are strong rules now with regards the allocation of monies to trust beneficiaries to get around this very problem.

sweet i hope they all get screwed and they raise the student allowances for broke poor people and increase the threashold

na cauld, that owning your own business and trust thing does work,... i know this chick whos parents give her shitloads of cash every week and she gets the FULL allowance cause of that...

in fact that REALLY rips my undies cause i only qualify for like $25 a week cause my mum got remarried and they count her new husbands income, even though he never has and never will give me a cent!!

Kiwigal and others... if you are getting ripped try and get the independnat circumstances allowance (where they ignore some or all of your parents income to quilify you)

yeah i tried that one too.....but eventhough i've been livin out of home for like 3 years now, i haven't actually been working so they reckon it doesn't count...

guess i'm just gonna have to face the facts...
i'm destined to be poor and owe the government more than i can probably ever repay...

yet they assure me education will be worth it in the long run???..=)

argh friggin winz they still haven't payed me and today was supposed to be pay day they have made a fuck up and reckon i should have my money within the next 48-72hr block FUCK THEM ALL

i think it's to put off people so that they don't have

i got my bursary money out of the blu today so im happy.

YAY success winz had fgucked up and are fixing it three hours later and much running around now they tell me i should have my 1300 dollars tonight lets see if they fixed it righht or i have to go and beat them

wooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo i finally got my winz money today finally after such a long and tiresome battle, i said i was not leaving the office until i was assured it was fixed on monday and yay today it is there

I hate WINZ they epically suck.
I wanted to up-skill with full time study.
People at winz were not interested in helping me with funding for a course but they did suggest I go on a two week camp at the cost of thousands of dollars to the tax payer, which just seems insane to me.
After I graduated I applied for dozens of jobs and there's no luck getting hired.
I applied for the unemployment benefit.
A couple of weeks on a winz employee called me up and cancelled my benefit.
I complained but I have not received a response.

Fuck you winz you are an embarrassment to the people of New Zealand.
