I had a flat battery so I put it on on the charger and tryed putting it back in my car today. Anyways I went to start my car and it was kinda unsual coz all the lights were on check engine, seatbelt etc. I just thought it might have been coz I just put the battery back in so I started my car up and let it run for 10-15 mins I went to turn the car off turned the key and even pulled it out and it kept running. So I went over to the battery and disconnected the cables and it was still running at this stage I was like WTF and starting to panic I put the key back in and turned it till it made that noise you know when your cars already running and you turn the key too much by accident. It finally stopped the car from running. So WTF did I do wrong when putting the battery back in? Thanks.

The fact the iginition lights came on at the wrong time sounds like a simple electrical fault to me. Did you just start it previously? Could of shorted / surged it?

What sorta car and the age / condition would be relevant. Turbo Timer? Alarm?

You really only need a battery to start a car, the alternator will keep a car running without a battery.. doesn't take too much to keep a spark going..

Oh and if you wanna stop it again just pull the distributer lead off!!! Don't use the starter motor!! Shocked

Oh and if the iginition came on by itself it might explain why you had a flat battery?

Its an old skool vr4. It only started happening since I tryed to put the battery back in. Has a turbo timer but the unit is broken but its been running fine as without one. Engines in great condition had a recondition only 10000kms ago.
