CAUSE HE IS THE FRICKEN MAN!

I find his stuff all over the place personally.
ie love the SvD remix of Pumpkin - hate the original. His remix of Control freak is ok...his remix of S O Project "Direct Dizko" is boring.

But I have pretty specific tastes and when he does something just so I fucking love it.

..whats wetting ur panties at the moment astral?

His remix of control freak was boring for me but i'd go as far as to say Direct Disko is my remix of the year.

It is cos he is mashing up what most people want at the moment (on a global scale). Something a lil bit techier with plenty of groove.. something that the word "trance" has been missing for a few years.

He is catering for a wider audience.

Plus he is also marketing himself nicely by doing the odd bootleg that is getting his name talked about among those in the know.

Sean Tyas, Samuelzone, Mike Nichol, John O'Callaghan, Temple 1, Nicholas Bennison all doing it for me at the moment. Plus as I mentioned before I really dig some of the SvD stuff and Signum are doing some really nice darker, techier stuff as well which is off the hook.

Signum seldom miss the mark anyway. Loving O'Callaghan at the moment too Music

nice taste, myself also stuff like intersate, coast2coast, def all keepers in my books too. Maybe actually would have to agree "pumpkin is made for maybe a larger outdoor rig than inside a clubspace, yes?. What about the more techier/boarding techno stuff? like sum of john marks remixes, bk's systematic type sound?

SVD rocks my sets and has been for the last 10 or so months.
I really like Rush, Punk'd (Nortek rmx), Controlfreak, SOS, Oh Yeah, Direkt Dizko, to name a few, his techy sound is definately right up my alley, I like to play from the more progressive tech, right though to the banging stuff and he caters right across the board.

Really interesting interview with him in latest mixmag, quite amazing how far he has come in the last 4 years!

He's good cause he just puts so much efforts into it.

WOOHOO!! An SVD appreciation thread - just what i've been waiting for!

SVD is by far my favourite dj of 2005/6. I can't really explain why because I somewhat understand what people mean when they say they find his stuff boring. To me there's just something about it/him.

Arctic monkeys is definately my fav bootleg of his at the mo too - lovin it.
Best track ever would have to be Purple Haze - Eden.

Hehe, aside from Arctic Monkeys, I think i'm only missing one or two of his tracks on vinyl now. Loaded and errm...something else I can't remember right now.

Loved the oxygen sublabel of spinnin for a long time too - they featured most of his tracks in 2004/2005 - whatever happened to oxygen though, haven't seen anything on the label for yonks?
