Why guys like guns and cars...

For one reason....girls cannot make decent or
anywhere near realistic car and gun
noises...ladies, try this at home now...

the original Vulcan was a 6-barreled 20mm rotary weapon mounted on (at first) F-4s, later on F-14s and F-15s, F-16s
the handheld minigun in Predator was never actually issued for service, it's a rotary weapon in 5.56mm (same as the M-16)
i think you were referring to the GAU-8 Avenger which is the 30mm rotary canon mounted on the A-10

Vadz is right. Both weapons were the 6 barrel Vulcans. But shit, the Avenger is as big as a mini. USAF build the A-10 around that beast.

But being a female, i can proudly say that my impressions of guns and cars etc DO suck, and i dont attempt them because i dont have a desire to lookas stupid as guys do when they DO make the noises! but i can talk cars with the best of males. so stereotyping is just not applicable.

Yep-I was refering to standard equipment on the a-10.or warthog as its lovingly known to its pilots.

Its cannon is one and a half times the length of a old vw beetle and has 2 cycle rates,1800 and 3000 rpm.

Coolest thing about the gun on the front of an A10 is that it noticably slows the plane down when it fires. Now thats a gun.

Have you guys seen that OICW from HK? Fucking combined 20mm and 5.56mm weapon - insane thing. And I love the quote off their website, something like "this gun will substantially increase lethality and survivability in battle" - what a crazy juxtaposition there!
