ridiculous
I wanted to post this a bit before... but anyway, cricketers today whine about playing too many games. Sorry, but they are cry babies.
One example for now, more later.
Alec Bedser was a fast medium bowler.
He debuted 1939, but let's say his career was actually 1945-60
In 15 years, he played 450 first class games including 51 tests. That's 30 games a year.
He bowled 106 thousand balls, or roughly 7000 balls a year, roughly 1200 overs a year

Have a look. Highest workload is 681 overs, average is 500ish
Even if you add in one dayers and 20/20... you're barely pushing 800 overs for a season.
For an example, Graham Onions, similar pace to Bedser has bowled about 16000 balls in all cricket in 6 years (2700 a year or so)
Ridiculous!
