I was going to the gym last year for about 6 months and this year I've just joined a boxing club

It cost like $150NZ to join and its $180NZ/month

Pretty standard price for any martial art .... not that boxing is rea;lly a martial art

anyone else working out?

Gonna join up soon. just trying to suss something economical thru former workmates. Gonna get back at Fitness First (they may be muppets, but their gyms are the best around.) and get on the weights. Cardio may factor into it at a later date.

sounds good graph

Boxing is pretty much a full blow cardio workout but it seems to give me the best results. I was probably in my best shape ever after I'd done boxing in NZ for 6 months.

Cant beat heavier resistance but boxing is the shiz about getting cut IMO

Just realised it should be Who's working out NOT Whose working out?

Arent you all happy that I'm an English teacher in Japan and NOT NZ? Wink

Had my 2nd class today. My body hurts which is always a good sign. I'm giving myself a month to pick up my fitness and then hopefully I'll be getting pretty cut by then too

I just bought a weight bench and a shitload of weights! My flatmate is bringing his tools home from work tomorrow so i can actually put it together. YAY!

I do have a free gym at work...but every man and his horse use it and I cant be arsed waiting around for stuff. Easier to have the equipment at home!

I like the idea of that, but to be truthful, I'm a bit of a show pony and work my hardest when there are other people watching me. I dont think I look great or anything, it just motivates me having other people training hard beside me. I ALWAYS want to be the one training the hardest. And I can get that at home by myself unluckily

3-4 times a week.
I still don't enjoy it.
Actually I hate it.

How long have you been traini ng?

The first 1-2 months are always hard and then it becomes a part of your life, you met people where you train and you really miss it if you dont go for a few days

I'm really good in summer with working out. I go to the gym every morning for like 1 1/2 hours before work. I think its cos the sun rises so god damn early in summer (like 3.30am or something stupid) so I'm wide awake anyway and I gotta pass the time before I have to start work.

Winter of course is a different story, its cold and dark and...well, need I say more.

Now that I've got weights etc at home...I can just do it whenever...no excuse! The Heathrow injection got to me....need to reverse the effects.

So whats the story with the Gym in London ? is it very expensive ?
[quote]
Heathrow injection? Im afraid to ask...
[quote]
it's just a injection that they give you when you get into the country to live, d-man. dont struggle, it'll only make it worse.

it just happens to make some people fat though Confused

I was playing squash once a week in London before i left. I enjoyed it a lot - for some reason i just can;t figure, i don't really have the attention span to commit myself to a workout. I have to have something more interactive to do with another person, otherwise my concentration on what i'm doing just strays all over the place.

And am about to spend 2 months sitting in the sauna of South East Asia, so that will help will weight loss too! Smile
