Craker of course, I like alot of N.Z d.js they seem to get me up there alot quicker than overseas d.js. We have some of the best talent per population than anywhere I bet....
siren
Anne savage / lisa lashes
nick collins
carl cox
paul oakenfield
sam Hill
Seb fontain
Digweed
sasha
but then there always more appearing all the time so picking one is very difficult,
I would have to agree with you lolly. Ive been to a few big sets recently and considering it was solely sanchez and the sound and acoustics sucked that night that croud atmosphere and the croud control by sanchez was smooth as silk, good dj, heres your donut...
i love them all.......djs never suck
they just have good nights...and most probably u were there that nite.
all djs are best for different moods that im in so anyone that can play a good mix is my favourite
(my personal favorite) Just for the way he can make move (on a dance floor silly!) every time I here him as opposed to what I've read in a dj mag or for the fact that "I had nineteen pills and he's a legend overseas y'know"-
MatA
For some of the finest technical skills anywhere in the world-
Greg Churchill
For sexy old school disco funk with its very own groove & flavour (not to mention that only she moves like `that' behind the decks)-
Phillipa
For his sound & productions-
Olav Basoski
For "OH MY G*D - how did he do THAT"????? mixing -
Sasha or Digweed 50/50 split
for strange backward mixing (weird man!)-
Sample Gee
but for overall showmanship & compatability, I have to agree with Dpt
Captain Starlight
Lately I have to say Thistle, love his deep dark thumping HH.
although his particular genre is my scene at the moment (breaks) Page_3 is pretty fucking awesome, not afraid to try new things and really mix it up.
(just don't tell him, his head might swell to the size of his belly, and that would just be wrong)
then in no particular order,
Haze
Nick Collings
C.J (after hearing his blinding set at Bed)
Cracker
I can't really name any international dj's that I like to hear in person because I've always been way too twisted to remember what they played like (it's really shocking and I will try not to do that in the future)
From when I was in London....Nick Warren rocked my boat with some very hard sets in the year of '98 (London). His sound is somewhat less 'me' now though. Check his GU Budapest for his sound during this period. The first time I heard him I didn't know who he was but sure as heel had to find out. He didn't let me down thats for sure.
Since back in NZ....Lawler's set last year at St James rocked...was great to hear something so different. Lets just say the 3 hours he played went far too quickly....without a budge from the dance floor from me....always a good sign.
From their compilation albums.....I would LOVE to see Sander live. I love his Nu Breed...original sound that is FUNKY AS HELL......
And of course....Danny Howells in a QUALITY setting would be a must see.
Thank god for heading back to Europe this year!!!!!
I have to say without a doubt Ferry Corsten. I have been listening to this guys mixes for ages and he fuckn rocks. When he came here last year his set was fuckn off the roof.
Tiesto, though his last couple of albums have been a bit dry in the magik series.
Sasha always rips! George Acosta with his latest (its been out, for bout a year) am/pm.
andrew bro i'm with you on that one...yogi is fucking sick!!!!!
he has the most energy out of any dj of i have seen ever or heard...i would say there is almost no comparison to any other HH/nu NRG/hardtrance in the world...and that is honest...
