Who's saving any cash?

I was over Japan about 6 months after I arrived and I'm pretty much staying because I can save some decent coin.

I am the master of living in Tokyto on a shoestring but still having the ocassional huge night out and having fun with all my mates

I managed to send home about $25,000 last year. Had to work hard to do hat though .... went for 3 months at one stage without a day off
I'm planning to take it a bit easier this year and save $20,000 and go travel for a year in January 2005

............and I'm just a measily English teacher

I'm trying!! I'm just saving for travels....just booking/paying for trips as they come along.

In my final year in UK I will just save up for money to take back to Aussie/NZ.

It can just be sooo hard when you are in an exciting new city making new friends and wanting to do absolutely everything and eat at restaurants for every meal

For me it just came down to priorities

im not doing tooooooooo bad, im saving around 500£ a month, ill have to do better though as i intend on starting a buisness in london, dont want to borrow the start up money so i have to do it off my own back, I intend to move to london at the end of this year though (wages are higher than here in scotland..!)

After getting some cash together, I steadily worked thru it (and some) during my holiday/time between jobs. So now I've got myself a new job, and soon, a new place to live. Basically means that savings waits till later in the year. (ie - pay off a few smaller debts, set up a mint appt, have a holiday back home.) But it will start!

ive managed to spend most of my savings and am going to run out of money soon if I dont find a propper job.
Usually im very good with my money, the plan was to save some money over here so I can go further abroad

Im doing a course tonight so I can get into some construction work at least that will get the $ moving in, while I look for a more career orientated job
