Who's got a WAP mobile phone ??

i think the biggie message boards should have a WAP interface so i can actually leave the house !!

I've got WAP but I don't use it. I'd really start to worry about myself if I was that desperate for biggie.

Yeah i have worked for telecom in the year just been. WAP is more of a gimmic right now. Untill 1x and then eventually 3G roll out hold back on getting one.

i reckon GPRS users will be having a ball with WAP

shame its mostly corporate and developers who have them rite now =(

Ive got wap and the net ... but never used it.... too costly i think .

WAP is shit man, i worked for a Vodafone Dealer before and tested it but didnt really like it, its to restricted

I have WAP, GPRS and unlimited data traffic so I'm up for WAP biggie!

I got wap, I use it for Pill reports every now and then (not having a computer). Yeah, you could say its a waste of time, but hey, its the first generation of mobile internet blah (isnt it?), and it provides a glimpse into the future, and, answers that question that we have with every techological breakthough (such as the phone, TV, the computer): Will we use it, and will we need it? And yes, once its not at the pong videogame-of-mobile internet stage, it will become something of great use in the future. Thats my uneducated perspective anyway.
As for 3G, from reports I heard, isnt that a bit of a dud? I heard that while its got great bandwidth, the network cant really handle all the traffic it would generate if it caught on. - Disclaimer: I'm not in the industry and dont really know what I'm on about, this is just an uninformed opinon. : )

Not, not really, and, even when a website is written for WAP, the phone browsers are less forgiving of errors etc, so if there is the slightest glitch, it wont load. WAP doesnt cost much to access, normal airtime rates, and I do it on free minutes. I can access my yahoo mail account from the phone, which is pretty neat.
But yeah, its all more of a gimick than a serious tool at this stage.

ive got me GPRS and wap ETC BUT NED TO GET IT WORKING PROPERLY AND CANT BE BOTHERED AS NO REAL USE FOR IT YET FOR ME. ARRRRGGGHH caps lock and to lazy to change

so why do people spend heinous amounts of money getting a WAP fone??

Or a salesman saying "you need this, this is the future"
...I dunno.
Or they were drunk (and doing retail-therapy after a breakup) like me. : )

I have WAP and rpm has GPRS. GPRS is very cost effective now but maybe not for looking at message boards.
