Who's doing the house choons on tv ads?

Just wondering who is responsible for some of these ads choons, like the h2go and maccas 1's
I'm totally lovin some of them

The h2go one sounds distinctly like Subware - dunno if they've tweaked one of their releases or someone's be asked to make a 30sec jingle that sounds like that Subware track...

Haven't heard the McD's one - is that the ad with the really animated DJ?

yeah scandal some sound like HOD as well, theres a bit of money to be made doing these. What about Greg Churhill and some other guys

McD's sounds similar to Roger Perry - KHP...but don't think it is..Soane did the TV2 "come over to our place"....Lotsa money to be made! Touch - do you have tracks avail for this?

Of course Soane did the come over to my place - his wife is the creative on the TVNZ account. Not what you know (although he does know a lot). I think its killing house music be commercialising it

Making tunes for ads is probably the only way most NZ DJs/ producers can make a living out of their music so I say good on them.
Music is either good or bad, whatever else happens with it ie, No 1 in the charts or in a an ad shouldn't matter if you like the tune.
Everyone loved the Kingsland Housing Project track that was in the coke ad because it was a good song, the ad made you want to hear more.

Yup Subware is out there alright, they are on heaps of rugby advertisements surprisngly enough!

liking the ad tunes, some even sounds similar ie. pump ads vs. mini ads, very HoD, or r they?

Point taken. I guess it is good to hear good music in ads and to expose house people to many people. Im just feeling like my beloved house music scene is changing and I liked it the way it was! I realise artists have to make money I just liked the small and familiar community that developed around the house vibe which has now become "mainstream". Using the music in ads is a very powerful thing. Good old Moby is proof of that!

moby sold every song off his last album to advertising, I believe that this was a new record

..The Magnum ad has done amazing things for Etienne De Crecy...and so on and so on.....

we are looking at super discount, Mooloodj, MC Solaar, et de C, La Funk Mob and even some participation on Motorbass not too mention the rest.

What the choon on the mini ad? You don't really get to hear that much of it.

Touchy, I really like Am I Wrong? but I loved Super Discount, along with everybody else. Tempovision kinda did need the help though as I don't think it's sold as well in NZ as it could have or that enough people realise how much of a legend Etienne de Crecy really is.
