From Biggie that associated dubstep with "chainsaw ear rape" as reported in the Sunday paper last week?
[quote]
^^ Title should read who was it.

cant find it, it was in the Sunday magazine.

they quoted biggie

LOL
[quote]
as they have since at least 2002 when P reared its ugly head
[quote]
2002 was a different era - forums were the place for media to, um, borrow from... they have twitter and facebook now

ahhh p you gave so much to so few

I went looking for the thread to see who it was too but I couldn't find it either. Maybe they made it up for the article?

I just dug it out of the recycle bin -

quote:
"Dubstep is simply UK garage slowed down to tumour-growth speed with everything good about it removed" offers one writer on NZ "urban culture" website biggie.co.nz. Another online correspondent labelled the music "chainsaw ear-rape".

That would have been a lounge thread

haha "correspondent" is perhaps too professional a term for biggie posters. Makes it sound like people here have some clue about music and aren't wittering on about the benefits of household trusts.

I read that as it was one biggie poster and some other person online - not necessarily a 'urban culture' biggie poster.

which of these two meanings did you intend?

1. (intransitive, intransitive, obsolete or dialectal) to make sure, inform, or declare.
2. (intransitive) to speak at length on a trivial subject

if the latter I can assure you it is no trivial matter, this matter of trusts (and trust)

take it from an expert, on trust Razz

And dubstep is like that fantasy you have always wanted to try... fun for a while, and hell yeah you will do it again... but it isn't as good as really fantastic sex.

Sounds like your analogy (like most of the ones in this thread) is nothing but your own personal opinion!

AHAHAHAHA! YOU DON'T FUCKING SAY, MATE! Shocked Laughing

Ahh yes, was a bit sauced last night when I read that thread and couldn't understand this morning how I'd ended up there as ear-rape doesn't come into it; that'll be how Wink ^_^

Funnily enough I just heard an ad for a MOS Sound of Dubstep album, the number 1 indicator in dance music of a genre on the decline.
