I'd like where I can party bare-footed like I could at Normanby, getting all frocked up just aint what I call fun when it comes to a night of jiggin.
[quote]
Tell me about it babe....

I miss watching you go for the barefoot boogie on the ol' wooden floor at the Berry :/

I know cyberculture have something up the sleve - it's just a matter of when.... and obviously, where?!?

(They were doin some gigs at a bar down on Fort St, but I think the alkies may have ruined the vibe, so dunno if that's still happening.)

ez all crew.
[quote]
There is no longer cyberculture djs in Fort st as the people in charge of the venue have changed.

However, cyberculture have put on a couple of nice nites downstairs in Galatos recently, which is a wikkid venue. Hopefully theyll do some outdoor parties soon like last summer, except this time it wont rain.

Raving mad (check news page) plans to kick cybercultures outdoor parties arse !!!!!

Don't think so, different market. Nothing beats psy trance outdoors! It's the only form of dance music actually made with an outdoor environment in mind as opposed to a club.
[quote]
blair - couldnt agree with you more...

there's nothing quite like losing yourself in the ryhthm of nature that surrounds you at outdoors raves - and psy trance is the ideal music to completely lose all bindings to reality...

(note.. im talking about the MUSIC. not the drugs. Razz)
[quote]
mmmmmmm...psy trance and nature

[quote]
i hear cyberculture have got something up there sleeve in the outdoor line of things... early decemeber.. keep your eyes peeled! (and your brains, mind!)
[quote]

You so wrote that yourself Qroniq :p~ That doesn't sound like Sarah! Smile
[quote]
Jeremy - fuck off and ask her yourself! Razz

Yesh she did write that - she misses Normanby as much as, if not more than I do!

The berry was a true haven - while I only partied there for 1 out of 7 of it's magical years I have to say it made me feel at home all the same.

Rock on Cybie parties Very Happy

*sigh*

Normanby..

The cyberculture website has some brief info bout a couple of outdoor parties comin up including another Dreamweavers (FUCK YEAH) on 2 Feb. Anyone at the last one? Held up north of Warkworth and rained. Was niceness.
[quote]
Dreamweavers oh god yes so waiting with my shoes off for that one again

As one of yall said there is to be the season premiarie of outdoor stylings at the start of December.

And for those that miss the berry, check out the link on the cybie website. Nice shoot of a morning after on the Corner outside.
Hooray
[quote]
molatov - long time no post!!!! Very Happy
whats the cybie site URL???

cyberculture.co.nz?
[quote]
yep thats the one.
It is nice to see that i not the only dirty ol' berry trancer on this thing
[quote]
course not molatov

Ill take berry styley trance over fluffy, cheesy K-Rd bollix any time. Theres not enough people out there who know what proper trance is.

hmmm...that last comment could really get the mudslinging started.
heh heh
[quote]
fo real eh.....
wanna come to a lil outdoor gig that im putting on, on the 17th?? there will even be a psy trance dj playing (among others)!!! woot Very Happy

email me if ya keen (qroniq@voyager.co.nz)
[quote]
ack...drove past where it used to be the other day.
Wasn't very pleasant at all. A pile of earth soon to be apartments.
[quote]
No Chief you are right not many on here understand that the trance they listen to is bastardised pop music
Yeah I almost fell off my bike when i went past and saw a gapping hole in the ground.
[quote]
Chief no mud slinging. but your comment is a bit wrong. There are so many different types of trance.
When in comes down to it each to their own. there is no one 'proper' trance
[quote]
Just tryin to spark up a bit of controversy Keblin.

You are right, there is no one 'proper' trance. Wot is good is, in the end, up to the individual.

I just think Paul Oakenfold and his ilk are pure evil, cant even handle that unimaginative shite when im peakin. Some of the darker, more progressive, less predictable tunes do it for me at times tho. Havent heard much of that on KRd ever. And even that type of trance cant hold a candle to the mighty psy!

Guess my perspective is heavily influenced by gettin into the scene thru sum stonkin parties at ye olde Normanby.

Brother Chief
You speak great wisedom
There is nothing like a night on the psy trance rollacoster.

Build build build, hold that crest and down the face of the wave to be tumbled and jumbled around on the other side.

By the way Chief...., Who are you? I'm the guy who was usually on the side of the room opposite the door, wearing black for the most part and dancing like i was having some kind of convulsion
[quote]
Me?

Wouldve had shaggy bleached blonde hair at the time, usually wearing a T-shirt and flares. Hmmm... that doesnt narrow it down much now does it? Oh well, might see ya at the next cybie gig.
