Hey guys I play mostly electro/house but i go to a few parties where people just wanna hear pop and top 40 music. Looking for music that justin sane plays on the edge on fri/sat night kinda thing, all the top 40 pop (mainly) kinda songs that have been remixed and have a beat.

E.g dizzie rascal remixes, lady gaga, black eyed peas .etc. mixes

Is there a download site (legally obviously) that specialises in this kinda music, beatport obviously doesn't do this.

Cheers for any help

I would assume most those bootlegs are technically illegal?

Asked Justin?

Sam Hill would be another person to hit up - Top 40 bootlegs sums up the set I heard from him last night.

Yeh thats what i mean top 40 bootlegs, not so sure how i could communicate with them.
Hmm they could be illegal but they played in soo many clubs and on the radio .etc. i don't think they would be able to get away with it?
I'm not saying your wrong though just not sure

Wanna bet?

I am sure some will be authorised remixes. But I imagine most are going to be booties.

Sweet thanks, your probably right, infact i just did a search on bootlegs and found this

Its related to guns and roses, and its not even nz related. I think your right they are illegal but most artists/bands don't mind because it is free advertising for them.

Yeah, nah.

I would say its because most artists arn't asked.

At least, their publisher isn't.

That article is totally unrelated.

In the article they are using the term bootleg to refer to the illegal recording of a bands live show.

In dance music, and in the context being discuses in this thread, the term bootleg refers to the production of an unsolicited remix (ie not commissioned by the original artist).

Bootleggin moonshine?
[quote]
bootleg is unlicensed recording, be it a re-edit, remix, live recording whatever

these terms are not genre specific

if the article means one thing they are idiots

www.xmix.com they cover every genre under the sun.

I would have to ask why you would want to cater to cunts who want to hear top 40 arse wipe tunes remixed into dance music for dick head twats who wouldnt know a decent tune if it fell on them
..for fucks sake play sum shit no cunts heard and blow them away with sum kick arse beats and bass... ..and if they dont like it tell em to join the FAR QUEUE over at the door!
