The last few months have been pretty damn quiet as far as *specialist* dance events go in Auck, then suddenly Nn'U, DHnF, Gatecrasher, Velvet, Roni Size, just off the top of my head... what's up with that?? You'd think they'd make an effort to space them a bit...?
Putting Lisa Lashes and Gatecrasher on the same night was just pure stupidity. But the promoters must not talk to each other cause they must have lost potential customers by doing it. Plus winter will be starting in the northern hemisphere so the smart ones head down here for warmer weather.
yeah good call, I knew there was a clash too but couldn't remember who it involved. With a comparatively low dance population in Auck (opposed to anywhere in say Europe), they'll be gutted with the turnout. Likely to be around half what it could have been.
Well, I voted with my wallet and I'm not going to either now.
Anyway, with all the events on this month, there are so many good nights out and you dont have to pay $60 a ticket.
Once again another two dance parties in Auckland on the same night-LL VS Gatecrasher, Judge Jules VS Slinky, God's Kitchen VS Steve Lawler recently!
WTF?
Gatecrasher and Sanchez - both been here before, both kicked some serious ass! They're my 2 picks for the rest of the year. Looking forward to Sanchez, especially if he plays some of the tracks off his new album
I'm with snazzy, just add in the local guys with Dhnf. i really wanted to go to lashes, cos i missed her last time, but Tall Paul and Armin... so gatecrasher won. can't wait till sanchez though, he's going to go off.
It sure is a big and expensive month. I have been trying to go to everything i can possible afford. I really wanted to see Lisa Lashes but dont wanna miss Gatecrasher (it will be huge)
i think it's good lashes and gatecrasher are on the same night, otherwise they'll be too packed, and plus, all the teeny boppers can stay at gatecrasher. hahahaha.
I actually perceive things differently. Everytime I go to a hard house event, or hard house oriented club I seem to see far more "teeny boppers" than at a good trance event.
i'm not snobby, ha, not at all , i just don't like little kids running round telling everyone how fuct they are :oP
would you like to fight about it? cos i can't be bothered.
well - lisa lashes certainly is one classy lady - bound to be a high-society gig.....
And of course the fact that it is a OGA event practically guarantees that it will be a mature audience with a sophisticated dress standard, I'd be suprised if even ONE glowstick was anywhere to be seen.....
You're right about kids being into hardhouseI think its basically because hardhouse is for the first time clubber. After a while people tend to move on to the other genres of dance.
