What has everyone got planed for the weekend?

Also, on a side note, should we start some form of discussion setup on FB? We could quite easily invite many of the oldies in there and attract some noobs at the same time. Thoughts everyone?

Probably not much this weekend as we are due for more snow here in Rome again this weekend.

I will not be joining any facebook discussion - theres a functioning forum here, I have no interest in abandoning, yet

I wanted to go to a breaks gig tonight but I'm still out of Auckland goddamn it. It's like... the universe doesn't want me to ever go to anything.

I'm prepping my car to sell. Got nowhere to park it anymore & can walk just about anywhere I need to go. Mixed feelings about it though... 3 years after I originally floated this idea.

Oh and the fb discussion thing, same as on here, I'll add something if I have something to add (or am incredibly board). I see the point that it could be a means to get people back here... maybe...

Already got in my 4 gym sessions this week. And as the last couple of months weekends been really busy/crazy, this week i'm all set for a really lazy weekend. Got some weed and flatmate has that Battlefield 3 game on xbox live so will be bonding with the couch this weekend.

You HAVE a discussion forum already, that you control. Who gives a fuck about attracting oldies? If they can't be fucked posting here, what makes you think they'll join in on FB, apart from to talk about the good ol' days a few times.

As for attracting new users, how exactly do you think they would transition from FB to here?

Yeah I only post coz my favourite biggies still post and their opinions and advice are interesting and beneficial to me. But will probably stop posting as much when I go back to work and get into my fitness...would be nice if mikem actually thanked the people who do post rather than seemingly disregarding us and hoping for better I dont appreciate that.

As for this weekend..

Playing at Chicago Disco tonight with the lovely Philippa at Hooch. Just finished soundchecking and the place sounds dope.

Tomorrow night was meant to be spent recovering, but as the infamous Dannyboy just landed for a surprise visit I am now playing with him, Souladelic and Urusai at Terrace Bar.

My liver is going to hate me by Monday..

Playing @ Prefix at Red Bar tonight, although it's called something about Lobsters instead of Prefix.
Apex's stag do tomorrow although also meant to be playing a birthday party as well so will have to fit that in.

The loyalty to the forum/community by some is impressive I must say

QTRARO - you took it completely the wrong way. It is about keeping what we still have here going in some form. I love the group of people that remain on here and the interaction. It is sad thinking it may be gone one day especially when you think back. So I chucked a suggestion out there which I thought might keep this interaction going in the future even if it is in a different way.

This weekend I'm having a quiet one, bank balance isn't looking too flash for the next few days so must resist the urge to go out. Another training ride first thing tomorrow and need to file a review of Safe House later today. Going to see This Means War tomorrow, mixed expectations but the gf is looking forward to some goodie bags :p
