What's the deal with those busking piano kids?

The ones who often set up a little trolley with a DVD player running, talking about how the Police wrecked their piano etc etc?

I stumbled across this website this morning whilst on a Wikipedia trail (again hahaha) and I find it all very confusing?!

I always found it odd that the brothers were busking on queen street instead of going to school... especially the younger one.

Are these the same ones who were busking to get their sister to Ballet shool somewhere?

I believe if they managed to raise all the money she would have finished the course by now and should have a job with a Ballet Company.

Providing they every got the money for year 3 as on the website it states that they had enough for year one and two since it was last updated i guess.

Unfortunately there is no money in ballet. The principle dancers in the NZ ballet get about 40k. It is a labour of love..

My sister was in the NZ ballet and tons of her friends went overseas on partial or full scholarships - none of whom attained the solo seal achievement which Holly Sheffield has - it's the absolute pinnacle of ballet training achievement... which brings to think: why would she not have easily gotten a scholarship overseas?

Pretty believable, though making her siblings stand out on the street busking for her during school ours (or at all) seems a little bit extreme. I wonder what their take on it is.

They could of course just be lying about the permits etc.

There are pictures of them with the permits etc.
Permits mean you can only stay in one spot for an hour at a time.

it doesnt really matter if they are right or wrong. The fact is that those kids are being put into a situation by their mother that is causing conflict. And it seems like she is just using them now to fight her own little war on rights. Its pretty shit.

I am the mother's boyfriend 2001 to 2002, i helped them busk on queen street, the mother refused to let the kids go to school as a result they didn't learn anything about discipline and hard work. The mother is a bad shagger as well !! carol russell sheffield is pretty but an insane nutter. I felt sorry for the ballet daughter Holly but her hip grinding problem was only one out of many, one of her feet is larger than the other by one inch, she became top heavy like her mother by the age of 17. There father John sheffield abandoned them on Moa avenue in Point chevalier NZ in 1997 when they were but wee kids. Carol did what she had to do. They really didn't need to busk their grandfather who lives in is a millionaire in papakura so it was absolutely senseless for them to keep busking when the family had money . silly stuff that carol did to survive like steal firewood from a store to put in the fireplace to have heat for the house for the kids, because the ex-husband wasn't paying child support, i believe new zelaand itself and its laws let the sheffield down and not the kids, remember they are the product of NZ
