I've decided I like the Main Mix of "Black Man In Space" more than the Sax Mix now I've given both versions further airings.

I s'pose you're right about "ESC", Brooke. It's not as instantly gratifying as "Bar A Thym" is on a dancefloor. But "ESC" is a proper badboy tune that's devistating in its simplicity.

deebee, I'll try and up it on mix for ya. KAOZ beating the trendy Germans at their own game.

What I am always taken aback every time I remember is how much I used to thrash the hell out of the old Morph records... 14 years on and Ferrer still knows how to get the tech groove right, and thank god he's doing it in the house arena, makes for many of the biggest floor destroyers around the past few years.

The Chandler is cool, and interesting take on the minimal + vox idea, and will do well, but in a 'late night deep house party' kinda way, not a 'prime time new years eve at every gig' kinda way with Bar...

Hmm, the "ESC" I know doesn't have any vocal on it. It's likely to be released as part of his "Computer Games" LP next year.

It never really clicked with me why Mumbling Yeah was so massive. Do like the sounds of the Loco Dice remix though.

...it stands out, is a great tool for adventurous djs, is fresh, has no bassline and completely crazy when played at the right time. All the elements aren't that great by themselves, but combined it is an anti-anthem anthem..

even the context that Luciano puts it in, i would have to agree with Bn on this one.

im still undecided on that track its real catchy and has a nice groove to it, but at the same time it annoys the hell out of me, Just like like radioslave's "bell clap dance" dose. But they must being good seeing as RA voted them number 1 and 2 tracks for the year, Cant say i agreed with much RA had to say this year though.

It was the RA readers who voted those tracks 1&2, but not every release from the year was available to vote for. Sebo K remix of Bell Clap Dance is second to none. Better than the original.

I dunno, there's just almost no parties to feel the vibe for many of these tracks to be in full effect, most of the punters might have only heard the track once or twice, rather than each night going out..making it hard to make it big...

Many tracks aren't naturally BIG, but rather become an anthem because they stand out, are eagerly anticipated, or are so unmistakable when they fade in the mix that the djs try really hard to mix them well...

Luciano surprisingly doesn't mix that too hot

Bell Clap Dance... needs less bell and more clap dance.

Agreed love radioslaves drums and bass just that dam bell, 2007 seemed to be a year with alot of tracks that had quriky yet familia or every day sounds, heater, bell clap dance etc giving them that unmistakable sound.

You gotta take that RA chart with a grain of salt, though. It's got T2 "Heartbroken" on it!

Yet to hear "Mumbling Yeah" on a big system but do like it.
