Simian Mobile Disco are great!!

That Hustler tune is massive. Thanks to Randomplay's sharp spotting we've watched that one grow and grow.

It's funny watching a tune become big. It's oddly satisfying, especially as you had nothin to do with the track itself yet you still feel like a proud father somehow... Or maybe more like a chuffed uncle...

Really like the Afromento (DJ Fudge) mix of Son Of Dragon.

And think all the mixes of the Amp Fiddler tune are great (the Hot Chip mix is lotsa fun). My favourite is the Tom Middleton Lub Mix. All the remixes make a nice change for the inevtiable Osunlade/Quentin Harris/Scott Wozniak white bootlegs.

The Fuckpony album is pretty bloody good, sounds like something Marshall Jefferson would've done in Chi 87, albeit wiith current production techniques.

^^ Jay Haze (half of fuckpony) is a great producer. There's a 'dark side of the pony' ep on the way apparently which I'm looking forward to.

A dirty dark electro stonker ripped the shit out of everyone on saturday. Did the rewind just for the build up and then played it again a hour later. The crowd ate it up.
Plus watch out for 'Hyper Funk -I Walk Alone(hyper groove mix) It's phat, had wistling and screaming from the crowd all thru that track.

- From Melting Pot Music's latest label comp, this is some of the most thoughful, authentic afro-beat, live funk release I have heard in awhile...Check it out. The last minute is transcendent. This would go down a treat on the right dancefloor.

Also, any and all re-edits by a new guy called Jonny Miller ... So far I have been able to track down re-edits of the Doors, Family Tree and Ian Dury. Worth checking out if you are a fan of the nu-disco, edit stuff.
