Ignacio is Steve Rachmad, he's the one who did that exclusive to dj remix of a Jeff Mills track which was sambatechnolove, he's also the guy who closes the Sonar festival to 50,000 crazy screaming spaniards in barcalona each year. If anyone ever gets a chance to see this guy, apparently he useually out plays mills and hawtin, so that's gotta be good

The Funky Lowlives mix didn't strike me as terribly Latin... I figured it to be more West London-ish. Tis good none the less.

I guess that kinda makes my point...the distorting of what is now considered latin. The Funky Lowlives mix takes the elements of the original- the almost salsa-ish loungy feel that a lot of early techno has and accentuates it. It has a real Fania kind of feel, like some of the early Willie Colon or Willie Bobo or Joe Bataan stuff.
