I thought it was just hypothetically speaking?
And I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
If you're going to start talking about 'rights to photographs' and all that. None of those photos were legally allowed to go up on any website - as the event didn't ask you to take photos (nor did you ask permission) and you didn't get consent from all of the subjects in the photos.
But, none of this legal stuff comes up with the dance scene (usually) because it's all about helping each other out.
BJ - Leave the politics to the politians

Umm no, we are legally allowd to take photos .. there was no where around saying "no cameras allowed" there were no tickets with this sorta thing printed on ... Larger events all have "still, video or movie cameras, and other recording devices may not be allowed"
and when you take the photo of the person you say "this is going on blah blah blah website," and they agree to it, or I delete .. thats permission enough ....
but the website I take for also has a "biggie disclaimer" saying no portions can be used ..
hey Dave, honestly if your gonna have a "go" at me (and I say this in the loosest sense of the term) then at least know what your saying, because honestly..
and again .. I say, I dont mind they got used .. but finding out well after they had been printed .. what if I DID or what if this website DID have a problem with them being published? .. what if I had sold the rights to one of these photos to a printing company to make posters ...
thats what I have a problem with ......
they werent to know what I had planned with those photos and there is the issue I am having .. not that they got used.
