yeah thats right, if you take a look into the whole
godfathers of house, the ones that started the
ball rolling, the ones that are still kicking it today,
you'll understand why they are still kicking it
today. They love music, soul , percussion, life.
They are the originals the ones that keep
pumping out the killa tracks that we dance to in
the clubs. They got into the "scene" through the
music, yeah the music, not through the sudden
phenomenon of excessive drug taking and
going to clubs, twisted as @$#% saying they
"Feel it" . They don't feel %^$# it's just the drugs.
Now I don't have anything against the use of
Drugs, but when did everyone in Auckland start
dropping ridiculous amounts of candy , and
being so fuc@#$ stuck up!
All I really want to say is remember what it's all
about people, The Music!
[quote]
its also about the people don't forget that one Rob
[quote]
yeah and the people!
[quote]
It's all about the music, nah
If it was we would stay at home and listen to CD's
It is about the night, the venue the lights.
It is about being a space with hundreds of other people with one goal, having a good time.
All sharing the same vibe and having a dam good dance.
But i do agree that people have started hammering back TOO many drugs. Slow down kids, it is about getting high, to a new state of consciousness not about switching off your brain or forgeting about the week
[quote]
Yeah it's the whole club experience as molatov said, but it's coming to a stage where drugs are almost a prerequisite to the club experience.
I feel like an outsider to the club scene because I don't take the candy, kinda puts me off the scene even.
[quote]
come on moosey mate, don't let that sway ya!
[quote]
I think I'm just going to stick to the smaller events, they don't seem to have that mass of messed up people feel to them.
[quote]
Smaller events are the business anyway! All my best nights have been at small events.

Don't take candy either, it doesn't worry me. I still have a really good time, why waste my money?
[quote]
I have gone completly off the club scene for the same reason.
It makes me really sad that people can not go out to something they claim to enjoy without taking drugs.
[quote]
i go to dance parties without taking candy on the odd occasion 'cos i dig the music, but don't be down on people takin' pills, 'cos they are the ones spreadin' and feelin' the love instead o' bitchin' about how sad it is that people need drugs to have fun. drugs, and candy in particular, can really enhance any experience, especially a dance party. maybe you guys should try a few before you slag 80 percent of the people that post on Biggie. ;/
[quote]
don't think I ain't done it just because of what i've
said, I just feel that the "Scene" as we call it ,
has become intoxicated with "so called" party
people, who are at the events and clubs for the
wrong reasons.
big ups to the real cats who are feelin the
music!
[quote]
Can't be "spreadin' and feelin' the love" unless your on a pill? Thats exactly the kind of point we (or at least me) were talking about.

I've got nothing against the vast majority or users, I'm the only one from my group of mates who dosen't. Some of them seem to have a wicked time, then others just get completely f*&ked, stand there looking a mess, and try and tell me that they are the life of the party and how wicked 'useing' is.

It's the equevilent of getting really drunk I guess, but this scence seems to be promoting it much like "rugby heads" promote getting absolutly sloshed.
