In contrast to Graphite's 'What do you miss about home' thread, what you love about where you live?

-Close to Europe
-Better money
-More opportunities
-Sainsbury's
-Excellent public transport (even though it drives you mad sometimes!)
-Meeting awesome people
-Summer daylight hours (starts getting light at like 3.30am and gets dark at like 10.30pm)
-Cheap Travel
-Shopping!!!

-meeting new people (even tho all the people in sydney seem to be Poms!!)

-home nightclub
-cheap ... "extras"
-"the pleasure chest" - sex shop we used to stay next to lead to hours of photo fun for me and natalie one night (never went in there though)

-'Supplies' are dirt cheap....like £3 each

-the coffee shops cos they all have big comfy couches you can't get out of while you drink your mocha and watch the people outside struggle through the sleet and snow... brilliant!

SOS @ The Greenwood Hotel Nort Sydney... Imagine a Chapel like biulding surrounded by the plush metropolitan surroundings of high rise biuldings with a courtyard, garden and house music. In one end of the chapel a breaks hip hop room @ the other end a Hard house room with pool tables and between them both a bar wherre you can watch your desired footie team... the best thing is it is on a Sunday from 12am-10pm so you can still get home @ a reasonable hour for work Monday. It is so good I recomend to everyone who comes to Sydney to chq it out.

Singapore:
· Good mix of Eastern and Western cultures
· Easy and affordable access to South East Asia
· Food is incredibly cheap with so much variety (and available 24/7)
· Taxi’s are unbelievably cheap (you can afford to use taxis everywhere you go)
· Efficient and extremely cheap air-conditioned public transport
· 100 huge shopping malls on Orchard Road bursting full of fantastic European designer goods and all so cheap (you can afford to be in European designer clothes from head to toe everyday). Plus many more shopping malls in other areas of the Island
· World-class night clubs (fully air-conditioned to a nice 21*C all night) all with an impressive international DJ line up every weekend. [Supplies cheap and easy to get but if you get caught you pay the ultimate price]
· A clean, modern, efficient and friendly society to be part of with a high standard of living

I don't know where to start!!!!

-beaches.... Manly, bondi to start with (easy to get to, nice looking, eye candy!) but also places like Palm Beach (summer bay) where its just amazing!
-Weather *looks at growing tan*
-Variety of food - Indian, lebanese, chinese, singaporean, italian, american, japanese, european, tibetan.... all within about 3 mins walk from my house!
-Jobs - just got a new one, more opportunity, better pay, etc.
-lifestyle - 30 mins by bus or train to wicked beaches
-women - check out the greenwood on a thursday!
-people - the diversity of cultures and attitudes. The aussies are ok too.
-Nightlife. Home. Tank. need I say more?

and so much more when I think about it!

Tokyo

The sheer convenience
Public transport is amazing. Its slower driving here!!
Travel to parts of SE Asia is cheap. Thailand = $550NZ retutn
Good restaurants
People are friendly (even if they dont speak English)

C'mon people! The thread 'What do you miss about home' is waaaay bigger than the thread 'what do you like about where you live'.

Surely there has got to be more things you like about where you are?
