What do we think about Nissan Pulsars?

The GTi-R's are ok. Reliable and farken quick!

Apart from that i have no idea about any other pulsars. Blade?

Gti-R's are great for performance SR20DET with quad throttle bodies and 4WD I tried to buy one a while back back but they are few and far between and they ask way to much dosh for them

For just a normal Pulsar I can recomend the Gti, 1.8litre front wheel drive, Nissan make good cars period, im not trying to be bias here.

I have a Pulsar and its fab!!

I love it - so zippy and cute and little so it can manoeuvre easily

would that be grunty enough...?? we need a car quick that isn't going to cost the earth, it will eventually become the second car after we get a better car over this one.

its a 96 and has done 24ks...

I doubt it'd be particularly quick as an auto but I'm not really sure.
Ele has the 3 door manual version and it's quite nippy until you get a few people in the car and try to go up a hill!

again I recommend getting at least a 1.8litre, preferably 2 litre, 1500cc is fine for around town driving but if you ever go away for a trip or whatever you will loath the thing, take it from me I just spent a year for my last company before getting my new job looking after a large portion on the north island travelling as far as Taupo/Turangi in a 1.8litre Toyota Corolla, long trips were death and not very comfortable. New company I have a Mazda 6 and love it even though its just the 2litre standard bass model.

seconding blades call, nissan make great stuff - most engines are near bulletproof, however you will find the 1500 slow.

plus, there's enough of them around that shopping for them is easy and parts are plentiful.

I've got a little pulsar hatch.... its a 1600 but its the vzr model so its got the variable valve timing..

For me it fits in nicely between a nana car and something sporty.

I had a 91 gti pulsar as my first car, the car itself was an absolute jinx.
Wouldnt reccommend it for anything other than a paper weight

what is the difference between a pulsar XI, XI-R pulsar and a pulsar GTI???

which is the better model. I notice that the GTI is 1800cc

that would be a decent car, a guy i work with has one, a 95, identical to that....he likes it, they are not quick though

Get a Mivec Mitsi or a V-Tec Civic if you are looking for a non-turbo with a bit of pull and economy

I quite like the civic... VTEC. my first car was a civic so I know they are good.

I am not usually one for Civics but that is a nice lookin civic...was that one V-Tec?

I'd recomend the Civic over a Mitsi anyday of the week. Honda make damn good cars at this sort of level.

I'd also go for the civic. Vtecs are generally very well built reliable engines from my experience. They are generally more ballsy than the same NA engines in their class.

And they look better than the other front wheel drives.
