What do DJ's get paid ?

Hey guys

I've been thinking about organising a dance event out south (similar to the regular events at Firemans in Pukekohe) and was wondering what sort of money DJ's get paid ? I'm thinking the likes of Danny Gould, Joe Butler, Dan Farley etc. for probably an hour set

Anyone have any insight into this ? Event organisers ?

In my experience this varies. It's best to discuss it with the DJ to ensure your not over or under paying as both can be damaging.

I'm mates with Joe & Danny so PM me if you want to know what they usually charge.

If you need to research dj pay rates and plan to organise an event out of town then you should also plan to recruit some more experienced advisors. It is a major challenge to get people, music, and all the extra required details to come together at one time, don't underestimate how much of a challenge you are taking on!

But I hope you go for it, and pull it off! We need more adventures out of the city, I'll be there!
