So he's on a programme called intrepid journeys that's supposed to teach you how other cultures do things. He does exactly that - and it's a big nono?
What is the issue here?
That he killed a chicken?
That he smiled at the camera after he killed it?
Would it be a better programme if the camera just cut away to a shot of him eating a pre-cooked Tegel chicken from Woolworths?
