I just joined the gym and so far I'm actually enjoying going Smile

the gym have suggested something like this http://www.horleys.com/ViewProduct.aspx?id=15

Do you guys think that would be suitable? I'm hoping to loose weight first and foremost but of course I'd like to tone up too.

I've got some whey gourmet at home but can't stand the flavour Neutral

thanks guys Fishy

you don't NEED it. waste of money imo.

yea i know it's ceratinly not essential - would i get any benefit from it though? even a little?

i'm happy to spend the money if its going to help things along a little bit. they do give you a bit of energy huh? thinking if i had one with a banana or something it might make for a good alternative to a snack.

You could try Horleys Sculpt to start with.. It's designed 'for women'

.. mixed with a banana or some berries, yes it is a nice alternative for a snack Smile . Good for just shaking up with water/milk when you are on the run.

I'd look at Ripped Factors when/if you get a bit more serious.

It'll help you to lose fat and not muscle.

What you need to do is calculate your daily calorie needs and make about 20% of that protein and then lower the calories from cabohydrates until you get a deficit that will allow you to lose fat at a healthy rate. E.g. if you find you need 1600 calories a day, you want to get ~320 from protein. Keep that 320 but lower the total calories through reduction of carbs to get the deficit.

You may well be able to get enough protein from meat, eggs, dairy, etc, so work that out before looking at protein. If you are someone who has issues with eating meat and/or don't consume many eggs or much dairy, you may well need protein shakes to supplement your diet.

I've got the horley's crossfire but i've only had it twice cos it makes me feel nauseous Neutral

might have to go back to protein bars..
