DJ : Solkai & Lobo (http://www.myspace.com/mark_naturalselectionz & http://www.myspace.com/marlonlobo)

Emerging on to the scene when the Ministry was the club that now houses Zen and Fu Bar, Solkai & Lobo were known to appreciate the deep musical style of drum and bass and downbeat. They were behind the mid afternoon Saturday NaturalselectioNZ sessions at Rakinos and were often found spinning at club nights such as Low Key Movements and Split or even trekking down to play at Dunedin's Bath St. When he’s not spinning at regular nights such as Liquid Recreation and Low Rollers, Lobo can be heard playing bass for the Psychadelic Afro Soul band The Hot Grits. He has also played support for some of his favourite dnb acts including LTJ Bukem, Calibre, Marcus Intalex, Marky and Redeyes and also made the bill for Fu Bar's old monthly Glide nights. Solkai’s range of music spans from downbeat to house to drum and bass. Basically “Musical Music†is how he describes it. He has supported DJs such as Big Bud, Redeyes, and L.A.O.S and just recently played a smashing set at Kinetic. Now joining forces b2b again, they will take the Wall of Sound Project through a historical journey of their favourite tunes from the past 10 years - an experience, not to be missed any heads!
DJ + MC : Absolute Value & Smooth Commentator MC (http://www.myspace.com/theabsolutevalue)

Originally from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Absolute Value and Smooth Commentator have relocated to the amazing shores of New Zealand where they have been tearing up dancefloors with their exciting liquid funk sets. Absolute Value is no stranger to the NZ liquid drum and bass scene and has a long history of playing at some of NZ's best parties including Deep Hard n Funky, Groove in the Park, Low Rollers, Liquid Recreation and Roll. Recently Absolute Value has also played alongside acts such as the Roll Crew, Antiform, Jess & Emma and most notably international acts such as Redeyes & L.A.O.S. The duo have worked together on musical projects for years, but decided to team up in early 2004 to create a very entertaining, original drum and bass show. Four years later, and thousands of kilometers away from where it all first started, you can bet with Absolute Value's tight 9 years of experience behind the decks, and Smooth Commentator’s fresh freestyles you're guaranteed a night of big tunes, and quality entertainment!
DJ : Orawan (http://www.myspace.com/djorawan)

Born in Thailand but now based in Auckland, Orawan's full-spectrum drum and bass sets are always pumping whether in support of an international artist, or performing at her popular bi-monthly club night Kinetic. Having graduated from Mainz Music and Audio Engineering School in 2006, her extensive musical knowledge and passion for music is reflected in her performance. She features various parties around Auckland including Low Rollers, Fusion Soul, DNBBQ, and has supported international talent such as LTJ Bukem and Big Bud. It is easy to conclude that Orawan is one DJ behind the decks who knows how to keep a crowd dancing, so she is definitely one act you do not want to miss!
DJ : Jason George (http://www.myspace.com/jasongeorge)

Although Jason's history is spread across multiple genres, continents, clubs and raves, he is still one of the few that can lay down a slamming set of beats from any of his chosen genres, any given time, or place. In 2000 he moved into garage, 2 step and breaks, from a love of tribal house in the late 90's - but his interest in broken drum patterns soon grew and he has been integrating dubstep into his sets since 2003. During the recent growth of dubstep in Auckland, Jason's existing catalogue hasn't gone unnoticed and his drive for the phatest beats and deepest basslines will have the dancefloor shuffling for more, while they're dished sound pressure servings one dubplate after the other!
DJ / Producer : Upseta (http://www.myspace.com/upseta)

Upseta (Chel Santamaria) first got into drum and bass after experiencing Dillinja and Lemon D on their "Big Bad Bass" tour of New Zealand in 2002. One year later he had built a studio and jumped straight into producing beats! As he was completely inspired by the huge rib cage rattling bass pressure Dillinja had become famous for, his style of production soon followed similar patterns and he began to produce low frequency reaching tunes one after the other over the years. Known for his love of vinyl and the warm sound associated with real dubs, Upseta is infamous for getting his hertz churning tunes cut direct to dub plate costing him thousands - for gigs he may only be paid hundreds for! He does it for the love of the music and so the Wall of Sound Project is giving him the perfect opportunity to showcase his latest 20 dubplates, ensuring anyone in attendance will have a genuinely chest pounding experience like never before!
DJ : Future One (http://www.myspace.com/mark_future_one)

Hardware head, analogue enthusiast, ladies man and one of Auckland's first producers to push the Dubstep sound, Future One blazes a quality studio tan and is always served fully loaded with original productions, exclusive dubs and plenty of Tiger. As a Fu & Base FM DJ, he regularly features local gigs including Liquid Recreation, In Depth, Outsource and Wheel as well as supporting International acts such as Pendulum and N Type. Focusing on a forward thinking sound and big bass lines he'll be stepping up to the Wall of Sound rig with a multi genre set covering downbeat, dub, dubstep, reggae, dancehall, midtempo funk, hip hop and electro bass!
LIVE: Andy Qroniq (http://www.myspace.com/andyqroniq)

With over ten years of crowd rocking experience and a knack for creating mayhem onstage with NZ's favourite ska/rock band The WBC, Andy Qroniq has fast developed a reputation as the pied-piper of jungle techno. Mainly attributed to throwing down his soulful saxophone licks as the icing on the musical cake at parties such as Low Rollers, Lead the Way and InDepth he has also performed alongside Solkai, Lobo, Format, The Mashup Mafia and more notably, Redeyes during his tour of NZ. When Andy isn't decorating cakes with saxolicks, he has been pursuing a new found love for Dubstep, so if we're lucky, perhaps when he's finished piping on his Saxophone he may crack open the record case and drop a few!
LIVE BEATBOXING: Metronome (http://www.myspace.com/metronomeproductionsnz)

Metronome also known as Josh Leys is a human beat-boxer, singer and song writing extraordinaire! He has performed alongside artists such as LOW TECH (rapper and beats producer of ROOTS MANUVA), whilst taking to the BIG DAY OUT stage twice with KID SHELLEEN and dropping his precise beats at THE BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY against ROBOT and JUSTIN FX (former NZ Human-Beatbox Champion). When he isn't performing for crowds or MC'ing events Josh is working closely with cutting edge local producer Ralphe Engle and the talented Indira Moala forming Metronome Productions. Josh will take stage to to contain the crowds at the Wall of Sound Project - and is definitely one act you do not want to miss!
