I am short of breath just watching.
Waikato spring out to a 12-3 lead. Manawatu come back. 17-16 to Waikato half time, three horrific Manawatu mistakes makes it 38-16, then Waikato just dissolve under the flair and attacking nous of a very good Manawatu team.

38-38 at the end. Some magnificent play to be honest... that manawatu backline has class oozing out of it. And their scrum was pretty good too. W

As entertaining game as it was if you want a real lesson in rugby then the game to watch happened at AMI Stadium on Saturday night.

I trust you watched the full 80 minutes and weren't cowering behind the cushions, vad.

I've stepped in puddles with more depth than Auckland Rugby's talent pool.

The only thing more disgraceful than Auckland's performance was the fact this fixture took place in Christchurch. Canterbury hosted the Auck's last year, therefore this game should have been played at the Garden of Shame and the Shield should currently be winging its way back to its spiritual home. The NZRU have screwed with provincial rugby yet again.

And if Tim Bateman isn't wearing the 12 shirt for the All Blacks in the 2011 RWC final then there is something truly wrong with the world.

You have to win every title for the next 11 years to even be EQUALLY as good as Auckland, let alone BETTER

Why? Why not your last championship? Last five minutes? Are the Ting Tingz better than Michael Jackson because their last single was better than his?

You judge a team on its entire body of work.

The classic "I was trolling" when you put forward a controversial point that gets destroyed.

The thing is, last time the Cantabs truly dealt to Auckland was 2005. Auckland were completely outmuscled up front and dominated all over the park (partly due to their own poor decision making), for the rest of the season the Auckland team played with an unmatched venom in the breakdown and dominance throughout the back line. That day Pat and the boy learnt a lesson, so while yes we were smashed at AMI don't think for a second that it means the end for Auckland this season... It's also a bit LOL to suggest that at Eden Park the result would have been the same.

Which point(s) did I make that got destroyed? I spoke of Auckalnd's poor performance agaisnt Canterbury, their lack of depth, the NZRU screwing with the home and away fixtures, and Tim Bateman's potential as a future All Black.

You didn't 'destroy' one of those points. You just trucked out the typical "look at the scoreboard" respone which is as weak as the "I'm a troll" admission you expressed disgust to.
