cheers Kris.

You need a "only allow referer from biggie.co.nz" setup ...

its what im running to stop such hot linking
[quote]
yeah, although i do often drop the odd link here and there.

it's not toooooo much of a major, (the twisted djdb runs off the same box so it pumps a fair whack of bandwidth anyway) and i can just pull the links if it gets overly busy

I'm pretty sure the FQ400 had higher fuel consumpsion than even the Ford GT.. heh.., just goes to show if you build a strong turbo motor and crank up the boost you can keep up with supercars and that EVO only had 400HP, in NZ there are a number of street driven 500HP+ EVO's that would have pissed on the Lambo, go the Japanese.

[quote]
oops not awake today haha
[quote]
yeah i remember something like that. or was it that the GT was the only car that used more than the FQ or something? i forget too.

but hey, that's what happens when you're caning around a track all day. :>

the classic rendezvous

http://guidance.net.nz/video/rendezvous20_04.mov 34mb

C'etait un Rendezvous is the creation of the French filmmaker Claude Lelouch in 1976. Using a Ferrari 275 GTB early one August morning, Lelouch attached a camera to the bumper of the car and sped through the streets of Paris. He gave the driver a set route from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, which is straight through the heart of Paris. The driver is still unknown to this day, because Lelouch was never able to obtain a permit to close the streets. The driver, who Lelouch told officials was an F1 racer, went over the speed limit and blew off many red lights. When this film was first shown, Lelouch was arrested, and because of this, the footage has spent many years underground before it began to resurface on DVD a few years ago. Lelouch used a new technology of the time, a gyro stabilized camera mount, in order to mount the camera on the car. The problem with this is that the technology of the time only allowed for a ten minute film with this mount. Lelouch told his driver to rush because of this time limit, and the video itself is only about nine minutes. In our velocity graph, we used all footage of the car when it was in motion.

Suffering from Top Gear withdrawal? Google Video gems from years gone by.

How about a review of the Jaguar XJ220 by Jeremy and Tiff Needell?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3667244746873613878&q=top+gear

This seems to be from 1994/95 and features Tiff driving Prost's 1990 F1 car and Clarkson in the F50:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3393118684327972928&q=top+gear

And how about this for real "old-skool" TV, William Woollard seemingly from somewhere in the 1950's and Chris Goffey (beards would not be allowed on today's Top Gear) reviewing the 4th generation Honda Accord which comes fitted with a "very nice stereo radio" (This is from 1989/90):

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=724944768897742291&q=top+gear

A 1985 Mazda RX7 "breathing down the neck" of a Porsche 924S. Watch in AWE! as the reviewer (who looks like a pornstar) reaches 130MPH! in the RX7:

Motorbikes, mulletts and bad clothing! What more can you ask for?

An entire episode from 1989. This intro brings back some memories! This episode includes a new Japanese luxury car called a "Lexus", a review of the MX5 and more beards!
