Its 1982, Group C is in its heyday, the two giants are the V8 Ford Falcon, and the V8 Holden Commodore. However the Japanese are coming onto the scene, with the 1st gen Rx7 proving its worth, and the powerful, yet unreliable turbo Nissan Bluebirds, showing they've also got the power to bring it to the big guns.

For 6 hours they get let loose on Australias toughest circuit, Bathurst. This was before the main straight had a chicane added to it, before they used pace cars, so as well as dodging backmarkers, competitors were also dodging towtrucks on the course.

Was '92 the same year where it absolutely pissed/hailed and generally shartitself and everyone was out on slicks? About 5 or 6 cars in a row came onto Conrod and either hit the wall or hit each other.
