Dude they said he was back at full strengh in March and in April when questioned if he was still struggling with it he said no. Like I said, don't make excuses for him.
And months after that he was sick again - as is common with glandular fever.
His stats from the French and Wimbledon prove he was underperforming in pretty much all areas.
The day he plays his best and gets beaten by Nadal on grass I'll concede the point. Until then Nadal is not the be-all of tennis that many claim - purely because he's tanned and wears a singlet.
