Following a lengthy time of technical difficulty and uncertainty, UrbanBreaks 107.7FM CHCH is almost set for a full relaunch. With transmission equipment currently being installed on a much more high profile site, this could possibly be one of the biggest things to ever happen to Low Power radio in CHCH.
By early 07 UrbanBreaks 107.7FM will once again be broadcasting the sounds of the underground across the CHCH airwaves from our studio located within the award winning C1 Espresso Café in High St.
We are now reaching the stage of updating our playlists and live show schedules and calling on you to see who wants to take advantage of this opportunity to promote themselves on UrbanBreaks and be part of this unique slice of CHCH’s urban culture.
Whether you are a producer who wants to contribute your sounds to our playlist, a DJ who wants to mix live on air from the C1 Studio, or a just mean selector who wants to share your musical tastes to our audience, we want to hear from you.
We are considering the following genres (and derivatives of)
Dub/Down Tempo/Chill/Lounge
Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop
Breaks
Drum n Bass
And especially any NZ music that falls is or around these genres
