Next in line on Upbeat to unleash a hit of mammoth proportions is UK talent
Chris Turner with his superb new track
'Don't Turn Back'.
Support includes:
Sean Tyas, Mark Eteson, MIKE, Ashley Wallbridge, Manuel le Saux, Haris C, Dave Deen, Andre Visior, RAM, Suzy Solar, Phynn, Andy Tau, Ex-Driver, Michael Angelo, Simon Bostock, Ian Buff, Karybde & Scylla, Robert Gitelman, Yaz, Sasha da Link, Dimitri Kechagias & more.
After following hard house, hardstyle and hardcore, Chris turned to trance in the early 2000's. Now managing Unearthed Records, he teamed up with Claire Willis for his debut release on Redux in 2009 and his most recent releases include remixes for artists including Luke Terry and Elucidate.
'Don't Turn Back' is all about the melody. From the first notes, you can tell that this is a fast-paced uplifting beauty of a track, perfectly crafted with an infectious and rhythmic bassline, delicate soft lead strikes and subtle low pad key changes. The track builds into massively euphoric lead synths, leading away with rolling twisted sub basses all layered underneath crystal clear percussion.
Backing up the original, we welcome the return of
Dejan Subotin from Serbia. After an earth shattering remix of Martin Everson & B.Prime on Upbeat earlier this year, Dejan's return has been hotly anticipated after that release racked up support from
Andy Moor, Maarten de Jong and M.I.K.E. as well as many others. Dejan's remix is a 100% hard-hitting monster featuring punchy basses and lead plucks which have all the hallmarks of classic trance. After building from dark and moody beginnings, the mix crashes back into the huge main section with incredible energy and drive.
