So let's hear your nominations for the 2011 TV seasons Smile

Best overall episode: Breaking Bad, the one with the epic psycho Gus scene in the lab :>
Best drama/action: Breaking Bad
Best live-action comedy: Parks & Rec (mainly 'cause I'm in love with April, otherwise would be Community)
Best animated comedy: Archer. American Dad is a worthy mention too. Great season.
Best new show: This is actually super tough this year. Boss and Homeland are the front-runners, I can't pick a winner. I haven't seen many of the other new shows, but it's hard to imagine I've missed anything better than these two. Amazing writing and acting in both.
Worst show: The Killing Neutral
Character you want to sex the most: April Ludgate :>
Show you don't think enough people watched: Jon Benjamin Has a Van
[quote]
Best overall episode:

Show you don't think enough people watched: Have I Got News For You
[quote]

Best drama/action: Sons of Anarchy (yeah, haven't watch Breaking Bad over here! lol)
Best live-action comedy: Parks & Rec

Worst show: ??? Not in the habit of watching crap shows
Character you want to sex the most: Jess from New Girl (Zooey Deschanel)
Show you don't think enough people watched: Parks and Rec
[quote]
Episode: Modern Family - Phil on a Wire
Drama/action: GoT
Live-Action Comedy: Modern Family just shades Community
Best Animated: South Park because the other two have been pretty dire (Simpsons/Family Guy)
New: GoT

I just find Modern Family unfunny definitely not worth a "best award"
[quote]
Best overall episode: Breaking Bad - such a tough choice! The murdering Gus Yak mentioned? The Gus flashback with what, a 15 minute scene entirely in Spanish? "I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS!"? Gus, Jesse and Mike storming the cartel compound? Or the jaw dropping finale? If pushed I would lean to the finale, as it tied SO much together and laid some serious shit on the viewer too.
Best drama/action: Breaking Bad. SO SO SO SO fucking good. Runners up Homeland, Boardwalk, Boss, Game of Thrones and Justified. SoA bringing up the rear. I can't seperate those runners up *that* far from Breaking Bad, BB just has all the ducks in a row.
Best live-action comedy: Community by a long shot. Just don't really like Parks & Rec - can't STAND Poheler.
Best animated comedy: Archer. I'll say that even tho I barely watch it, it just doesn't grab me that much, but it's better than the others.
Best new show: This is actually super tough this year. Boss and Homeland are the front-runners, I can't pick a winner. Amazing writing and acting in both. <- plaugurising Yaks thoughts here. Pretty much this, I've watched a few of the other candidates and just so much SHIT.
Worst show: The Killing
Character you want to sex the most: Carrie from Homeland :> Bitch be CRAZY! :> Also:

Show you don't think enough people watched: JUSTIFIED! Awesome show. Honourable mention: Sons of Anarchy. For all it's flaws, it's still better than most shit on TV, and features some stunning performances, particularly from Jax, Opie, Gemma and Tara.

Hon mentions; Sons Of Anarchy, Walking Dead, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Boss
[quote]

I like Curb your enthusiasm and Always Sunny in Philadelphia..

better funny than what you like.

Don't watch enough TV to really involve myself here but both Borgias and GoT were excellent. On the comedy front both An Idiot Abroad S2 and Life's Too Short have killed me and just in mentioning it I'm now Jones'ing for the next LTS Smile

As for sexing: Pilkington. Man is clearly some sort of futuristic sex machine.

I didn't count Idiot Abroad as it's really more of a doco.

Yeah I'm up to date with LTS but still a bit unconvinced by the concept. Actually not so much the concept, but the execution. It's basically The Office (cast centred around one character who's a douche that nobody really likes but collectively tolerate) - except that it comes off as less genuine because at least with Office they all had a reason to hang around this person: they have to, he's the boss. In LTS I find it hard to reconcile his douchiness with the social situations they put him in... Also he doesn't really have the occasional likeability that David Brent had, although I guess Brent didn't have that until S2 either so will keep watching and see Smile

Agree with all of that. Only the first episode had me in stitches because the Neeson script was so well written and obviously he was great himself. I have found the rest of it to be largely lacking.

Best overall episode: Prob Breaking Bad I guess. Hard to remember single eps.
Best drama/action: 1. Game of Thrones, 2. Final season of Friday Night Lights, 3. Breaking Bad
Best live-action comedy: Parks & Rec . Ron Swanson & Tom Haverford FTW. Community sucked shit this season, hope it gets cancelled.
Best animated comedy: Archer. It is the only one I watch! Heh
Best new show: Been avoiding addictive new dramas owing to being too busy to keep up. Fav new comedy is New Girl
Worst show: The Killing. Hands down, the most overrated show ever.
Character you want to sex the most: Annie from Community.
Show you don't think enough people watched: Happy Endings.... Good comedy - sort of like what I would deem to be "Friends 2.0"

Haven't watched this season of Curb yet, as I watched like 6 seasons in a row and have started to find it entirely unfunny. Just need a break for a few months before I go back to it, I think. Also I found the most recent season of Bored to Death to be pretty hilarious!

I'm undoubtedly easier to please as I've only watched them while hung over and sorely in need of lolz (and likely have less basis for comparison) but I did watch a 'making of' first before I watched any episodes which would have affected things. I think I've managed to accept it as a pure comedy that just happens to be in pseudo-doco format and found that Warrick Davis seems a genuinely nice dude playing along with this terribly cringey comedy so between those I'd have to admit I'm a full convert Smile
[quote]
Best overall episode: GoT, Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire finals were all good, it's hard to pick. I really enjoyed the Bored to Death episode when Ray took the wrong baby home and then got too stoned to notice.
Best drama/action: Breaking Bad hands down.
Best live-action comedy: Bored to Death/Curb your enthusiasm
Best animated comedy: American Dad but I don't actually download it enough..
Best new show: Game of Thrones
Character you want to sex the most: Daenerys Targaryen
Show you don't think enough people watched: Survivor - surprisingly good after hating on it for years.

Best overall episode I wanna say the pilot of The Killing -- it was probably the best pilot I've ever seen... but the show ended up fucking me off so bad that it can get fucked. So I'm gonna go with the finale of Boardwalk.

Best drama/action: Breaking Bad

Best live-action comedy: Curb, pretty easily really.

Best animated comedy: Haven't seen any...

Best new show: Homeland or GoT.

Worst show: The Killing or Dexter. (terrible in different ways)

Character you want to sex the most: Cersei Lannister :>

Show you don't think enough people watched: Children's Hospital
[quote]
Best overall episode: Game of Thrones, where Ned Stark gets his head chopped off. OR Breaking Bad when he lets Jesse's gf die (not that it happened in 2011 prob but I watched it then :>Wink. Both jaw dropping moments. The last episode of Gossip Girl before the xmas break.
Best drama/action: Game of Thrones
Best live-action comedy: I haven't really watched any comedy this year! Sad Modern Family is my fave though.
Best animated comedy: I dont watch anything animated.

Hmmm no. I have been waiting so that I can do a marathon. Sucks if it is though.

TBH most long running shows go through shit seasons. '24' had a couple of seasons that were utter drivel.

Neutral Were you watching the same ones I was watching?!? They've been gold! Troy and Abed's flat warming, Jeff playing The Dean as the Dean went crazy making the ad, Annie signing in naughty Xmas outfit...been the best season so far imo...miles better than season 2 bar a few notable stand out episodes.

Oh, and hasn't Always Sunny taken things to a whole new level this season?!?! Some gold, some just totally cringeworthy and fucked up

agree Community has been great this season but you're wrong on New Girl its rubbish

Just thought most of the season was stupid and too self indulgent. It's getting a bit meta to be funny, imo. I preferred Season 2 far more. I can see why people don't like New Girl, and Happy Endings for that matter... I just like a couple of characters that make me laugh a lot. I love Schmidt... Plus the gay dude in Happy Endings is gold.

Very Happy

Yeah, it's not outstanding, but it's pretty funny at times and is cute and quirky...find Happy Endings too formulaic and dull, aside from the gay guy, no one else has any substance

They suck balls bro.

Cunts probably don't even like Survivor ffs :>
[quote]
HIMYM was solid gold for a good few seasons there. Now they've just handed themselves the exact same fate as Friends and most other long-term group-cast sitcoms: the characters get stale and run out of material, and they start trying to develop the characters with drama to fill out the time a bit, but you can't really develop sitcom characters like that, given they're always caricatures to begin with.... There's still a few lols to be had though, and like Jono, I'm too invested Sad
[quote]
HIMYM is so fucking terrible now. But def agree that it had some golden moments for a year or two.

TBH I only ever liked it for Barney, and a little bit of Robin. The rest of teh characters are annoying as fuck and deserve bullets. Especially Marshall and Lilly. Anyway the show has fully bitten the dust, and thank fuck it is nearly over. I might call back in for the last episode if they bother to reveal the mother, but otherwise it can dere-lick my balls.
