hip hop and rap music are intertwined genres...
Just needed some clarification for own purposes as some people i have talked to think tupac music is not hiphop.

nah..theres a difference..it may be very subtle but still.. I think hip-hop is a bit more intelligent than rap.
But thats just what I think

HipHop is basically the real general term of the culture. Music like R&B and rap fall under this. Breakdancing, electric boogieing, spraypainting (tagging or bombing), and DJing and MCing falls falls under Hiphop as well...

Sorry to be a bitch Ollieman2001 but it was the media that labelled the term Breakdancing. To be 'politically correct' please use the term B-Boy and B-Girl.
