Any ideas here people?

20Valve 4AGE silver top (non charged)

After a good lead on cold air ducting & box creation (have K&N Pod) also Body Kit options, preferably with a place that can do the work.

Got a short gear box & a good clutch, though that could be better, also lookin for a new comp.

Was also throwing around new pistons & Cams in order to fit a supercharger...

In short, what else should I be thinkin about & where can I source the bits from.

Chur...

yeah going for a factory supercharger could be the go ... Other ways is weight reduction. How much is up to you ...

Way less of a hassle and would be cheaper in the long run to sell the motor and start a'fresh with a supercharged version from the get go, then change the pulleys, put a good intake and exhaust on it and Bobs ur uncle, don't forget about a new ECU as well.

Thing is I want to use the 20valve set up, to achieve more than the 16 valve version that comes stock with the charger, you dig?

Anyone have any leads on body mods?

The 20v setup is weak on the whole... the silvertop ones have flow issues, the blacktop ones are much better.

You can do turbocharging on a 20V but you'll have to uprate the internals and it's still not the world's most ideal engine as the valves are fairly small... you can't really go bigger than standard with the valves because it leaves such little meat in the heads.

All depends what you want.... a silvertop or a black-top engine with a nice set of forged pistons, H-Beam rods, a porting job and a bolt-on low-blow turbo kit could make 250bhp or so nice and tractibly and still be nice and reliable Smile If you're after mega horsepower with a turbo, you'll start to push the limits and start breaking 20v heads and you'll be better off with the 16v

If your after mega horse power just use an entirely different engine instead
