One of the Headstrong boys had it at some dance party. Something reminded me of it today.

There's an old Denver McCarthy track off hisMMechanism/ Morningstar CD with the sample, it is fairly breaky, and is probably the first try at d&b in the country...
Or I think the Whinge boys did one with that sample too.
I may have both sitting around, or you could try and contact Mike Weston from Pulse (which Morningstar was released on). Maybe able to help with details on that.

That's all I know, he's recorded for a lot of labels, Superbra, Subvoice, U7, Housedust. But no other info on the records unfortunatly. Probably could find out if you want to do some stalking when you're in Japan...

Its not Denvers/mechanism, his one has the "dark side" vocal....Our one had "obi-1 never told you what happened to your father,father father."
I'm sure i've got the original on DAT somewhere...I remember denver played it at the headstrong gig in Hamilton many aeons ago...was thinking about using it as a secret track on some forthcoming release...would certainly be a laugh.
Or maybe not.
