Tis cold this morning, and my teeth are rattling like a percussion loop on a Danny Tenaglia tune "Chink chink chink chink chink chink......"

Tune of the day
M&S Presents
The Girl Next Door
Salsoul Nugget (If You Wanna)

http://fizy.com/s/1805kk

The link is to the Vocal mix, you really want the Original Klub mix.
Fun, bumpy disco that will put a smile on ya face and the chorus will get stuck in your head for most of the day.

Comments?...............

That is a shocker LeKnight. Anything with a filter sweep on a old disco loop gets a thumbs down from me except in very rare circumstances.

Their stuff as State Of Mind wasn't bad a few years earlier.. for the era I guess.

(Ironically, they even had a release called 'Take Control' - same as the NZ DnB guys of the same name)

Just think nothing get even remotely close to the OG, but then I'm a Dinosaur like that ;-0

Yea this one used to get all the ladies on the d floor for sure. That and the karmasutra track "burning".
[quote]
I actually woke up with today's song in my head (I love it when this happens, unless I have the flu or something and Im delirious, which means the last bit of music heard keeps looping over and over in my head, and the last time this happened I had the misfortune of catching a bit of Robbie Williams on the tv!! You try having the chorus of "Strong" in your head for 24 hours!!!??!?!)

Crydajam
"If You Give Me the Love I Want"
Crydamoure
http://fizy.com/s/18dmgo

Crydajam is/was made up of the various artists who have tracks on the Crydamoure label. Eric Chédeville, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, Paul De Homem-Christo, Cyril Kebellian, Mederic Nebinger, Juan Carlos Pellegrino.
This is one of the tunes that marked a change in the style of Crydamoure releases, and ultimately its demise. The typical sidechained disco looped french sound had become more distorted and glitchy thank to the likes of groups like Archigram.
Enjoy.

i challenge you, sir, to go an entire week without anything french in ya house files.

I think Jeff means the tune that salsoul nugget samples as opposed to the salsoul nugget original club mix.

actually samples two if I recall correctly....a bit of Double Exposure and some Loleatta Holloway.

Well done though despite the filter sweep; used to play this a lot.

Hey todays was from 2002 buddy!
...and I will not put up Minuit! They left the house.
My house has no doors, I cant leave, even if I am stuck in a time warp. Also I have not once mentioned Daft Punk (which suprises even myself) nor Stardust.
I is very proud.
Bob your a brave man.

Filtered disco was over by 2000. By 2002 it was already flogging a horse carcass.

i'm with mr warner on this.
the french stuff was 95% horrid.
I think i have a bout 3 ecoords from that time and i was an massive french house fan in the 90's.
At my first effort at playing out i was advertised as playing french house.
i got chucked off after 3 songs

not much has changed there

Thought that I'd post a track to help liven up ya tues (mine's currently boring as fuck)-
anyways, it's not exactly house, but it is super cool; it is also that production collaboration of some powerhouses in their respective genres: Jazzy Jeff and Masters at Work.
It's off of Jazz's '03 'The Magnificent' album.
