i think its learning to trust your instints, usually when you ignore them you regret it later....so if you cant trust them then don\'t simple.....

the worst is when you have no other option than to trust a particular person, like your stuck and in trouble and they are the only ones around....thats bad mojo.......but yeah, go with your gut or your heart.....

You cant and you dont. There are very few people in this world that can be trusted which is a very sad thing. If you find or know one of these people hold onto them for life as they are very rare.

I have a trust no-one rule.

It depends what you are trusting them to do. i never trust anyone who says `I\'ll sort you out for drugs\' but i would trust the same person to shut the door behind them on the way out.

people seem to think that im trusting, i must give that impression... but deep down, i trust no one...

yeah i know what you mean imaprincess, i was thinkin along the same lines very recently, i am a trusting person, i generally believe that all people are good, altho i\'m not naieve i know some people are horrible....but its hardest to \"keep\" trusting when you get hurt, sometimes it would be easier to trust no one and not get dissapointed, but as far as my safety is concerned i only trust those i do trust, you don\'t have to trust people if you don\'t want to ......bla.....

trust is something that people tend to do too freely, when it is something that should be earnt, not given then broken.

with you there george, i believe trust has to be earnt. you can\'t just trust someone straight away cos how do you know they\'re trustworthy? but then you should take the risk?

take the risk only if u enjoy being burnt by someone u trust! chances are it will happen.

Yeah there\'s usually something about soomeone you can\'t trust tho... Don\'t ask me what but it can be easy to spot, altho some people are good at hiding it and noy come off as fake.

Is there really a need for trust? Everyone makes mistakes and maybe you don\'t know you have their trust or can trust someone until that trust is broken and u then know what you\'re missing! Hope that makes sense!! Takes a bit to sink in.... only tuesday....seesh!@ he he he.

trust for me comes in levels....
money is easy, i trust all my friends with my money, if i can\'t trust someone with $$$ they aren\'t my friend...
people issues are different, although i do trust my friends with my wife, or should that be my wife with my friends :o) However, jealousy being what it is, i prefer not the let situations arise where this trust can be called into question - especially having seen friend/girlfrind issues in the past - friendship destroying stuff this...
spill your guts discussions are more difficult, and these i trust to very few people, as the ramafications of this information being shared can hurt many people - it does feel good to share this stuff though, and offen helps me clear up my thoughts on the topic concerned....

This really is one of the hardest questions to answer, but i would agree with everyones posts. There are few people who you can trust with anything, no matter what it is. Once you find these people dont let them go. Mind you if they feel the same they wont want to let you go. Because when you get older all you have is friends, love dies. So you really need these true lifelong friendships. to me a real friend to me is someone who would do anything for you, if it means them losing out. I have a few of these but not many. There are so many fake people in this world, people who make themselves seem trusted, but are not.

Just remember a friend in need is a friend indeed, this somehow applies.

In my current relationship I have been lied to on a number of occassions and it sux because now whenever he says something that im a little doubtful about and I question him i can never tell if he \'s lying or not so that makes for a difficult time!In myexperience you can probably trust one or two close friends. Its difficult because i always tend to have a lot of faith in people and as a result often get let down!
