be trusted.
how the hell do you do that?!
[quote]
you dont....it\'s simple \"i\'m sorry, i just don\'t trust you\"
i think its learning to trust your instints, usually when you ignore them you regret it later....so if you cant trust them then don\'t simple.....
[quote]
crazy - as i thought Smile
[quote]
never trust anyone but yourself....you can\'t trust anyone else these days. Smile
[quote]
the worst is when you have no other option than to trust a particular person, like your stuck and in trouble and they are the only ones around....thats bad mojo.......but yeah, go with your gut or your heart.....

You cant and you dont. There are very few people in this world that can be trusted which is a very sad thing. If you find or know one of these people hold onto them for life as they are very rare.
[quote]
I have a trust no-one rule.

but I do have 3 exceptions and these three people I would trust with anything
[quote]
You\'ll find that you can meet a very trustworthy person, but that\'d just be between you and the person. They could rip someone else off with the blink of an eye.

Learn to establish better friendships, where the other person wouldn\'t want to.

And if you\'re still hanging out with people that would rip you off even though you\'re mates..

we are getting the house painted at the moment. The painter is stealing money and stuff. What a dumb ass.

i don\'t trust strangers but i trust most of my friends Very Happy
[quote]
Are they real friends if you can\'t trust them?

And what does it mean to trust someone? Trust that theu won\'t steal your money, or trust that they will always do the right thing by you?
[quote]
I go with Geddafix on this one. I trust no-one.
[quote]
I force myself to trust

I\'d feel empty if I didn\'t

Trust is important

But PFunk\'s question is really really interesting
[quote]
i trust good friends with money, time doin the right thing etc.....i trust no one but my family and my very, very best friends with my feelings and best interests.....a good new years resolution
[quote]
It depends what you are trusting them to do. i never trust anyone who says `I\'ll sort you out for drugs\' but i would trust the same person to shut the door behind them on the way out.
[quote]
people seem to think that im trusting, i must give that impression... but deep down, i trust no one...
it kind of sucks, something i want to work on,
because i know to achieve any great happiness in life, you kind of have to trust people, and take risks.
[quote]
yeah i know what you mean imaprincess, i was thinkin along the same lines very recently, i am a trusting person, i generally believe that all people are good, altho i\'m not naieve i know some people are horrible....but its hardest to \"keep\" trusting when you get hurt, sometimes it would be easier to trust no one and not get dissapointed, but as far as my safety is concerned i only trust those i do trust, you don\'t have to trust people if you don\'t want to ......bla.....
[quote]
I trust too many people, but I\'ve hardly ever get burned for it so maybe I don\'t... I don\'t buy that don\'t trust anyone shite, I tend to believe in the good nature of others. I\'ll stop before people get nautious
[quote]
trust is something that people tend to do too freely, when it is something that should be earnt, not given then broken.
[quote]
with you there george, i believe trust has to be earnt. you can\'t just trust someone straight away cos how do you know they\'re trustworthy? but then you should take the risk?
[quote]
take the risk only if u enjoy being burnt by someone u trust! chances are it will happen.
[quote]
jono, bliss, george - with you all on your very good points, my main take on this topic was that you don\'t trust someone who you cant, as in the title, they earn it...
[quote]
Yeah there\'s usually something about soomeone you can\'t trust tho... Don\'t ask me what but it can be easy to spot, altho some people are good at hiding it and noy come off as fake.
[quote]
Is there really a need for trust? Everyone makes mistakes and maybe you don\'t know you have their trust or can trust someone until that trust is broken and u then know what you\'re missing! Hope that makes sense!! Takes a bit to sink in.... only tuesday....seesh!@ he he he.

[quote]
I agree with Domino and would say dont trust anyone but yourself...
[quote]
I prefer to trust

And I think in summary we\'ve all established that there\'s degrees of trust..

A very wise friend once said to me:

Trust no one - only the paranoid survive.

But hey, Im an optimist, most friends are given my trust/respect up front - its up to them to lose it.

Regardless of whether you trust someone or not, it still hurts if they betray you.

I mean if you trust your boyfriend and he cheats - it hurts, if you DONT trust him and he cheats - still gets ya right smack bang in the ticker, no two ways about it.

trust for me comes in levels....
money is easy, i trust all my friends with my money, if i can\'t trust someone with $$$ they aren\'t my friend...
people issues are different, although i do trust my friends with my wife, or should that be my wife with my friends :o) However, jealousy being what it is, i prefer not the let situations arise where this trust can be called into question - especially having seen friend/girlfrind issues in the past - friendship destroying stuff this...
spill your guts discussions are more difficult, and these i trust to very few people, as the ramafications of this information being shared can hurt many people - it does feel good to share this stuff though, and offen helps me clear up my thoughts on the topic concerned....
[quote]
This really is one of the hardest questions to answer, but i would agree with everyones posts. There are few people who you can trust with anything, no matter what it is. Once you find these people dont let them go. Mind you if they feel the same they wont want to let you go. Because when you get older all you have is friends, love dies. So you really need these true lifelong friendships. to me a real friend to me is someone who would do anything for you, if it means them losing out. I have a few of these but not many. There are so many fake people in this world, people who make themselves seem trusted, but are not.

Just remember a friend in need is a friend indeed, this somehow applies.

i have to say that there are some beautiful, intelligent, caring people on biggie Smile

In my current relationship I have been lied to on a number of occassions and it sux because now whenever he says something that im a little doubtful about and I question him i can never tell if he \'s lying or not so that makes for a difficult time!In myexperience you can probably trust one or two close friends. Its difficult because i always tend to have a lot of faith in people and as a result often get let down!
