There are some possible applications of it discussed briefly in the video, like for heads up displays in vehicle windscreens among other things. Not much use for a laptop maybe, but think of anywhere you'd want to overlay information on what you are looking at.

I can see an immediate application.. slackers in the workplace who purposefully have their monitor facing back into their workspace so noone else can see them slacking off..

The first thing I thought of was back in the day when overhead projectors were still in existance, and then they had those state of the art clear screens you could put on the OHP and plug into your laptop/pc to project your powerpoint etc.Reminds me of one of them.

Actually the one in Avatar I liked was the little tablet, where the dude swept shit from the main screen onto the tablet and walked around. BRING THAT ONNNNNNN.
