Transfering IPOD songs to Iphone

Soooo finally got one of these new fangled Iphone things

Quick question. I notice Itunes is an app on the main screen of my Iphone, but despite the fact I have plugged the Iphone onto my PC where my Ipod sw and songs are located, they dont seem to have transferred over

Whats going on here, I thought they would have just fired them all over duing one of the synchs

Go into iTunes on your PC (with the phone plugged in) and go to the music section for the phone and select all the music stuff you want to sync to the phone ...at least thats what I did.

Oh yeah that works..they were already highlighted, I just had to drag it from LIBRARY Music down to the Device section. tx

Sound quality pending obv..but if its decent......what the hell do I need this IPod for now hmmm

PROTIP: iTunes on Windows doesn't usually automatically sync your contacts somewhere useful, so you lose and replace your phone, restore the backup, and you have no contacts.

Do the same thing harvey suggested for music, but look for contacts, and set it to sync with windows address book or what have you. i think there might even be a way of making it sync with your GMail Contacts.

Oh, what an iPod is handy for now, is if you have an iPod in feature on your car stereo. Load the iPod up, plug it in, then you can leave it in there since you don't really care if it gets nicked anymore.

Or just sell it since isn't it pretty new? :>

speaking of iphones and itunes - anyone know how to get itunes to pickup outlook 2011 (mac)... want to synch my work calendar onto phone but fucked if itunes wants to recognise outlook

Oh yup, my mistake. Its the one with all the hilarious "rark rark"and "oink oink" sounds. pretty classic Which other games are good btw, just loaded up on Itunes

After stopping enjoying console gamingin my late 20's Im really loving these Iphone games, i think its perhaps cos Im old school and the new fangled stuff just got too complex for me after being bought up on Atari block graphics etc. Pretty stoked to be able to goof off for hours again!

It's the best platform for casual gaming. You're not committing you a few hours to play through something, you can pick it up, bash out a quick couple of rounds while waiting for a bus or what have you, exit out of it and it's still sitting there waiting for you exactly the same as you left it.


Flight Control and Harbour Master might be a go. Really simple but strangely addictive.
