MMP creates a government with a sub-element. Something that makes sure the Goverment is doing its job honestly and right.
Saddam is KIND OF like that sub-element, he is the representative of a people. And he makes sure that those people arent adversily affected by choices of the west. Dont think for a second that Britain has any chance of putting the US in check.
Saddam is like the bastard dog biting the ankle of blind giant, when the giant steps the dog watches.
For the record, i dont like saddam. But their is such a thing as "neccesary evil". And maybe he is it.
As for invading, i agree. Nobody said a "necesary evil" has to have nuclear/biological weapons.
